Giraut de Borneil (Twelfth Century)

Borneil, Giraut de (bor-nāy’). A Provençal troubadour of the twelfth century; a native of Exideuil, Dordogne. His contemporaries bestowed on him the sobriquet “Master of Troubadours.” Some 80 of his songs are extant.
