Frederic Remington (1861–1909)

Remington, Frederick. An American artist, sculptor, and author; born in Canton, NY, Oct. 4, 1861; died near Ridgefield, CT, Dec. 26, 1909. Besides being famous as an illustrator he wrote ‘Pony Tracks,’ ‘Crooked Trails,’ ‘Frontier Sketches,’ ‘Sundown Leflare,’ ‘John Ermine of the Yellowstone’ (1902).
