Frank Dempster Sherman (1860–1916)

Sherman, Frank Dempster. An American poet; born at Peekskill, NY, May 6, 1860, died at New York City, Sept. 19, 1916. He was professor of graphics in Columbia University. He published: ‘Madrigals and Catches’; ‘Lyrics for a Lute’; and, with John Kendrick Bangs, ‘New Waggings of Old Tales’; ‘Little Folk Lyrics’; ‘Lyrics of Joy.’
