Emilia Pardo Bazán (1852–1921)

Pardo-Bazán, Emilia (pär-dō-bä-thän’). A Spanish story-teller; born at Coruña, 1852; died in 1921. Most noteworthy among her writings are: ‘Pascual Lopez’ (1879); ‘Mother Nature’ (2 vols., 1887); ‘Morriña, a Love Story’ (1889); ‘The Palpitating Question’ (1883).
