Stratemeyer, Edward [“Capt. Ralph Bonehill,” “Arthur M. Winfield”]. An American writer of juvenile stories; born in Elizabeth, NJ, Oct. 4, 1862; died in 1930. Among his numerous works are ‘Last Cruise of the Spitfire’ (1894); ‘Oliver Bright’s Search’ (1895); ‘Young Auctioneers’ (1897); ‘Under Dewey at Manilla’ (1898); ‘Between Boer and Briton’ (1900); ‘On to Pekin’ (1900); ‘The Fall of Port Arthur.’
