Beard, Daniel Carter. An American artist, author and illustrator; born at Cincinnati, OH, June 21, 1850; died in 1941. Among his works are: ‘What to Do and How to Do It,’ ‘The American Boy’s Handy Book’ (1882); ‘Six Feet of Romance’; ‘Moonlight’; ‘Field and Forest Handy Book’ (1906).
