Charles Franklin Thwing (1853–1937)

Thwing, Charles Franklin. An American author and educator; born Nov. 9, 1853; died in 1937. He was president of Western Reserve University; the author of ‘American Colleges’ (1878); ‘The College Woman’ (1894); ‘The Choice of a College’ (1901); ‘A Liberal Education and a Liberal Faith’ (1903); ‘College Training and the Business Man’; ‘A History of Higher Education in America’ (1906); ‘The American College’ (1914).
