Brockes, Barthold Heinrich (brok’es). A German poet (1680–1747); a magistrate at Ritzebüttel. He composed his ‘Country Life at Ritzebüttel,’ and afterward published ‘Earthly Employment in God: Poems of Nature and Morality.’
