Biddle, Anthony Joseph Drexel (bid’l). An American publisher, journalist, and miscellaneous writer; born in West Philadelphia, PA, Oct. 1, 1874; died in 1948. He wrote ‘A Dual Rôle, and Other Stories’; ‘An Allegory and Three Essays’; ‘The Madeira Islands’; ‘The Froggy Fairy Book’; ‘The Land of the Wine’ (1901).
