Alessandro Tassoni (1565–1635)

Tassoni, Alessandro (täs-sō’nē). An Italian poet and critic; born at Modena, Sept. 28, 1565; died there, April 25, 1635. His best-known work is a fine mock-heroic poem, ‘The Rape of the Bucket’ (1615–22).
