Eugène de Mirecourt (1812–1880)

Mirecourt, Eugène de (mēr-kör’). A French novelist and miscellaneous writer; born at Mirecourt, Nov. 19, 1812; died in Tahiti, Feb. 13, 1880. Among his novels were: ‘Confessions of Marion Delorme’ (1848); ‘Memoirs of Ninon de Lenclos’ (1852); ‘The Marchioness de Courcelles’ (1859). His name was originally Jacquot Mirecourt.
