Who Discovered Protons?

Answer – Ernest Rutherford was the first to discover the proton.

Explanation:

A proton is a positively charged subatomic particle. Its presence was first observed in 1886 by Eugen Goldstein but its discovery is attributed to Ernest Rutherford. In 1919, Rutherford showed that when nitrogen was bombarded by alpha particles (gold foil experiment), it ejected hydrogen nuclei. By 1920, he concluded that the hydrogen nucleus was an elementary particle and named it “proton.”
