Is O Positive Blood Rare?

Answer – No, the O-positive (O+) blood type is not rare.

Explanation:

On the contrary, the O+ blood type is the most common in humans, with approximately 38% of the world population having it. Anyone with an Rh (protein found on the surface of red blood cells) positive blood type (i.e., A+, B+, O+, AB+) can receive O+ red blood cells. This makes O+ blood important and in high demand, as it can be used in transfusions for a wide range of patients. However, people with O+ blood can receive blood only from O+ and O− (negative) blood donors.
