I never thought I’d be writing this, mostly due to the fact that this was my first year being a part of the Yearbook Council. With that being said, it has been such an amazing learning experience, opportunity, and privilege to be a Senior Editor for this yearbook. I’m so glad that I got to be a part of something so important that will be looked back on and cherished for many years to come.
There are so many people that I would like to thank. First and foremost, I would like to thank my fellow Senior Editors, Casey and Jana. Thank you for being such wonderful, supportive, and hard-working people, and for being (somewhat) patient with me when I had questions, which was more often than I would like to admit! Creating this yearbook was a huge rollercoaster, but we always got through it together. I’m so proud of all that we have accomplished, and I know that both of you will continue to achieve amazing things in your futures.
A big thank you to the rest of the Yearbook Council for your hard work and creativity. I wish the best of luck to future senior editors, section editors, and photographers. Being a part of this council is pretty stressful, but it’s all worth it in the end. Thank you to our staff supervisor, Mr. Behrend, and the Friesens representative, Mike, for your

The wonderful clubs, councils, and teams I have been a part of throughout these years are just the start (special shoutout to Lancer Press and field hockey!). I remember being this shy, nervous grade nine who got lost on the first day of school, walking in late to my geography homeroom and only recognizing a couple of faces. I have grown so much as a person since then throughout my four years of high school, and many of the new people I have met now mean so much to me. Even though I would still consider myself a “quiet” person, I have become more comfortable and confident in myself. I hope to continue growing as I bid ACI
I would like to thank MCS for all the great years here. I will forever be a Blue Devil. I'm going to miss the boys that I've had a lot of great times with. My number one boy, Ian, we've had good times Cheddar Cheese, I wonder who's going to make you break your next TV from the game MLB. You're my best friend, man. And to the other boy, Jose, we had some good times too - or just stupid ones. To all the other boys: Tyler, Devin, Donovan, Derek, Jackson, Kenny, Paris, Kevin, Billy, Tanner and Joe: it's been real. Kevin, I will also never forget soccer practice where I knocked you down and your shoulder broke my nose. Billy, please don't break our 3 point record. Derek, you better watch yourself even when I'm out of school - you know what I mean. Jackson, work on your touch, because its garbage. Kenny, keep playing sports. By the way Im going to miss graphic design with Patty and Travis. This year I met one of my new best friends who is a really special girl. Her name is Victoria Marin. These are just some of the people I am going to miss. I know that I will see them again. I will miss my teachers. I will never forget beating Mr. O in pickleball twice - the second player to ever do that. Mr. O, work on your golf and pickleball game. I will miss Joey Dabritz and don't know what I will miss more him giving me a hard time or for always believing in me. I leave locker
This page shows the yearbook staff doing their work and posing for the camera. The color choice was cool.
First off I would like to congratulate everyone for making it this far. I would like to thank my classmates, my friends, and my family. I especially want to thank our teachers, for always supporting and encouraging us. If it weren’t for the people who support us daily, we would not be where we are today. I would like everyone to turn to their families, and teachers to thank them for all that they have done for us.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my peers once again. Those of you who know me know I’m an entertainer. Well, you have all served as my audience throughout these four years, and you have motivated me in doing so. Your reactions to my personality and my creativity have been indicative and invaluable. I’ve learned more from all of you than from any teacher I’ve ever had. You taught me how to socialize. You’ve enlightened me on the facets of the human condition, the roots of happiness, and the dynamics of friendship. You have given me the life, the strength to keep me moving higher,
Furthermore, I do not regret a single part of this year, and even parts of eighth grade I was dreading, such as the National History Day project, turned out to be wonderful learning experiences that I genuinely enjoyed participating in. Thank you, teachers for continuing to find ways to encourage our further learning. Thank you, fellow classmates for helping me and making me smile. Thank you, Mrs. Arzola, Mrs. Chung, and all of the South Pointe staff for investing in so many new programs. And finally, thank you to the whole South Pointe community for supporting each other as we all continued to grow together and find out what our true passions are. I am both excited and extremely nervous for my journey into high school, and I can only hope to find another school as great as this one, that will continue to shape our lives just as South Pointe has. So, as we exit the grounds today and move onto high school, I can’t help but think that we will all reconvene here when our children will have the privilege of walking in our
It was the last day of school where we got our report cards and it stated what our 6th grade classroom would be. I was a very weak student and I ended up in a place that wasn’t my best. People have made so many comments and put so many labels, but I pushed myself to change. Ever since this moment I have worked hard to make a change. I’ve had put so much pressure on myself and now I have the honor of being the one to stand here, in front of all of you as your Valedictorian.
Yearbook has become a huge chunk of my time every single day at school. I attend yearbook meetings and camps, create all types of lists and spreadsheets, organize and assign everything to staff members, but every single task is worth it. Thanks to all of my hard work and dedication, I climbed my way up from staffer to the most successful job of chief editor. I was able to gain outstanding people and communication skills along with writing skills. I have watched myself grow from a ball of anxiety and nerves to a confident and determined chief editor. Unlike everyday classes, yearbook has helped me to successfully learn about different people and life skills that I will be able to utilize in anything I am a part of whether it's college, a career, or even daily conversations. Anytime I am able to complete a task by a deadline or talk to a complete stranger, my heart will be content knowing that I am able to have success in so many different ways thanks to my unforgettable yearbook
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Yearbook Staff (August 2012- May 2013 & Spring 2015- May 2016). Having been involved with Yearbook in middle school; I furthered my
I am writing to thank you for the generous Alumni Honors Scholarship I received. I am very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of this scholarship and will be able to carry on the legacy of graduating from this outstanding University.
When I signed up to be on the yearbook staff, I wanted to follow in my deceased mother’s footsteps. My whole life, I would hear stories about her staying at her school late to finish the yearbook, and I would read back on her editor’s letters from her three years of being the yearbook editor at Ouachita Baptist University. I wanted to be just like her, but what I have found and learned in yearbook is much more.
To my high school English teacher, Mrs. Timmons for challenging me to become a creative writer. To my classmates and alumni from Hoke County High School, thank you for your support and motivation.
Creating a yearbook has a lot more to it than one may expect. At first, I thought it’d consist of taking lots of photos, using a creative mind, and good writing skills. I wanted to contribute by doing all of these things and using the best of my ability as well. I looked forward to taking plenty of clear photos, writing good captions and making clever headlines since I’m good with words and I wanted to go out and be more social.
Current senior Thomas Armstrong said, "I was nervous at first, but as I began to share all that went away" He adds, "I wdas grateful to have this opportunity to thank those who made high school such a sucess."
Now on behalf of all of us graduating seniors, I'd like to thank all of the parents for all of the
