English Composition I has developed my style of writing and my skills analyzing and researching topics to write a piece about a topic. Throughout the course, I got better at analyzing articles and pieces to get the meaning of the topic. With that improved skill I was more able to use the information given from the text and install it into my essays, with proper citation if needed. Before taking the English Composition course, I was not one to organize my essays in an ordeal order to clearly state the point of the work. Now with taking the course, I have learned to organize my essays, examine research for a topic, and develop an essay with proper mechanics, and revising skills. A process writing essay expounds on how things work or gives directions to achieve a task. While writing this essay one should write so that the audience can follow the directions. Also, while writing one must write clearly and precisely so the reader will not get lost. In process writing essays one needs to give a variety of steps and make a comment on them. In this essay, “Stripped for Parts”, Jennifer Kahn intelligently wrote a perfect example of a process writing essay.

What is the Writing process?The writing process is what you will need to go by when writing for essays and future classes.I have included a few tips throughout this template to help you get started. • You will need to identify the components of a basic sentence.• You will need to be able to identify the four most serious writing errors.• Define subject-verb agreement.• Identify common errors in subject-verb agreement.• Recognize regular and irregular verbs• Use regular and irregular verbs correctly in basic sentences.

Kahn elegantly displays process writing in the essay “Stripped for Parts”. Process writing explains how things work or gives directions to accomplish a task. The assumption of the writing is that the reader will actually be able to follow the directions. This essay provides rhetorical appeal, explains how this is a process writing essay, and also shows description and cause and effect writing.

In the English 110 class, we performed many tasks that are required to do in the class. The class also required us to read a book which was titled, The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Reading the book was to help us write an essay about the book. We wrote many essays in the class also each essay was a different type of essay. In total in the class we wrote 4 essays on different subjects and with different methods of writing of the essay. Three of the four essay I selected because it showed the seven different outcomes that are for writing. In INRW I have learned how to analyze an essay, write an essay, and revise an essay. When someone analyzes an essay, they should understand the objective of the essay. They will need to present some type of argument and have supporting evidence. It is always helpful to make an outline before you start writing your essay. We were asked to write 4 essays throughout the entirely of this course. Each of the essays included an original version, followed by a revision memo, and last but not least a final revised version of the essay. After we completed an essay, the professor would grade our original essay and provide feedback on how to further improve on our final revised essay. We then would have to take his corrections into consideration and write 2 paragraphs on how to fix our mistakes called a revision memo. The first essay we were asked to write an “Argument Description”. For this essay, it was required for the students to find the writer’s primary and secondary claims of a particular essay chosen from the Best American Essays book and describe how they work. Secondly, we were asked to write an “Argument Analysis”. In this essay it required the same work as the “Argument Description” essay, but we were asked to find the implications in the claims stated. The next essay, Professor Stuart asked us to write was a “Genre Analysis”. Our final essay was called an “Argument in Literature”. (DESCRIBE THE ESSAYS COLLECTIVELY)

An essay is a section of writing that systematically examines and assesses a subject matter or concern. Basically, an essay is intended to get an individual’s educational view on a specific material. The essay can be true-life. Meaning the author of the essay is trying to say the fact, not only amuse you. A decent lengthy essay ought to be made up of an introductory paragraph and visibly state the subject matter to be discussed in the main body. The points should be plainly specified in individual paragraphs and illustrated or warranted. A closing paragraph summarizes the key facts of the paper, in which you repeat your view or give a stable thought of the subject matter. My previous essays were missing some of the material mentioned. For example, I would watch television and try to write an essay or I would limit the amount of words used on my essay paper.
