Arctic
The Arctic region has a very harsh climate with very short cool summers; while the most northerly locations experience an extremely cold winter that lasts almost ten months.
This climate region has an annual precipitation of 35-50 cm each year.
Precipitation is low because the Arctic Ocean and other bodies of water are frozen for most of the year, and there is very little evaporation. This region includes most of Nunavut as well as northern parts of the Northwest Territories and Quebec.
Pacific Maritime
The Pacific Maritime region lies along British Columbia's west coast and its border with the Yukon Territory on the way to Alaska. The Pacific Ocean provides a moderating effect to this maritime climate, which means the summers are cool and the winters are mild. Precipitation along the coast is very high, with some area receiving as much as 300o mm of rain in the north. Many people live here because

Here, winters are cold, and summers are warm.
Prairie
Includes the southern regions of the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Winters are very cold, and summers are very hot, this climate region has a wide temperature range from summer to winter.
In winter, there is dry arctic air that makes the temperature well below freezing, and in summer, the air is warm and dry. It is quite dry in this region because of the fact that not a lot of precipitation occurs. Most of the rainfall happens in the spring and summer, and there is barely any precipitation in winter.
Southeastern
This region includes Ontario and Quebec also parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. (Home to Canada's major urban centres.) Moderately cold winters and warm summers.
This region experiences rainfall year-round. The Great Lakes moderate the temperatures somewhat, cooling the summer and warming up early winter.
Atlantic
When thinking of Alaska, everyone thinks of snow all year round. But they do have months without snow and freezing temperatures. From September to April, these are usually the months with snow and freezing temperatures. In south central Alaska where Anchorage is located, major city in Alaska, winter temperatures can go as low -25 degrees Fahrenheit and the summer it can go as high up as 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Alaska has many kinds of landscape. There’s flat terrain, mountains, and hill country. Denali is a major national park where the tallest mountain in north America is located. Alaska is surrounded by the Beaufort Sea, Arctic Ocean, and
It is hard to imagine living in the frigid, inhospitable climate of Alaska, Northern Canada, and Greenland. Unforgiving winters, barren tundras, freezing temperatures, and days without sunlight were all challenges faced by the Eskimos (Inuit).
In the north, the climate typically consists of hot and humid summers and mild to very severe winters. These severe winters result in freezing temperatures,
the summer are about 94 degrees while lowers down to 37 degrees in the winter. Today, the
The Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands is also known as the smallest geographical region in Canada. This region was formed almost 500 million years ago when a glacier began to recede at the end of an ice age resulting it to melt. The size of this region is 180 000 km2 and provinces located here are Quebec and Ontario. The climate here is very humid and it has very cold winters and very hot summers. Plants found in this region include white/black spruce, white birch, jack pine, etc. Animals found here are chipmunks, mourning doves, cardinals, etc.
Main air masses that influence the regional climate are the continental air mass from Yukon and Alaska, and Maritimes air mass from the Pacific.
Because the country is located directly in the path of the hurricane belt, winds and rain are stronger, bringing cooler temperatures and causing rainfall that varies from year to year with 53 inches in the east regions, 82 inches in the northeast, and 17 inches in the west. This is typical for this region, and cold temperatures are not at all experienced. Due to this particular type of climate, the country has more than 50 percent of agricultural land use, and 40 percent forest area.
As a result of the high latitude the climate is cold and another factor is that it is near the Arctic climate region. The majority of the year it is quite chilly and the temperature rarely surpasses twenty degrees Celsius. However when it does go above ten degrees Celsius many birds migrate to this park, like the snow geese I illustrated beside the park's monitoring centre. The park only has about four-five months above zero degrees, and since the area is tundra there is permafrost also the area has very poor drainage causing the wetlands. Overall, the climate is cold, with a very large temperature range with moderate relief precipitation.
There is a big difference in weather when it comes being in a different part of the world. Finland is a place where in the summertime, the sun doesn’t even go down. A part of Finland is right under the Arctic Circle, which makes the sun seem awake for days at a time. Although in America the sun goes down every day, those days can be very short or very long. Finland’s longest season is winter and is the reason why it is always to an extend of being cold. Yearly weather is distributed in the US, as for summers warm and hot, and winters chilly and cold. Some parts of the US can stay in a certain range of heat or coldness but that’s usually around the coasts. In Finland the highest heat record was 37.2 degrees Celsius ( 99 degrees
The entire region is a vast sodden plain that slopes towards the sea that is less than a metre per kilometre. Up to 85 percent of the is muskeg or a wetland. There is more water than earth. Water lies everywhere Shallow oblong lakes, Streams that run nowhere. Up to 50 percent of the land is water. (Government of Canada, 2010)
temperature of Nunavut in winters is very low, near about "-30C" and in summers, average
The Arctic Lowlands are found between the Canadian Shield and Innuation regions. It is rocky with rounded hills. Also the surface is frozen all year. There is atleast a day in a year that the whole day is darkness. some of the natural resources you can find is coal, lead, ainc, soapstone, and natural
The climate is one condition that may vary within different regions. The country extends a long distance from north to south. There is a lack of rainfall to the north. there the air is able to hold much of the moisture.
Arctic Lowlands is one of the geographic regions in Canada. This geographic region covers part of Nunavut. This region has flat, low area. It is also composed of series of low islands located in the far north of Canada, Nunavut. The climate is the Arctic Lowlands is very harsh. The climate is so bad that the ground remains frozen almost all year. Another thing this region is known for is large scale exploration for minerals such as gold and diamonds. This region is also the home of the largest supply of fossil fuels. This region also contains large amounts of lignite (a form of coal),l oil, and natural gas deposits.
