College is a place to help someone learn and improve their skills. It allows them to step out of their comfort zone and meet new people. According to Source F, “an overwhelming majority of college graduates--86%--say that college has been a good investment for them personally.” There are skeptics who believe that college costs too much money and the things one learns are not applied to the outside world. However, there are many benefits of going to college. College is worth it because it provides more job opportunities and students can learn skills that can be used in their future jobs to shape the future.
People who have a college degree get more job opportunities than people with only a high school degree. Graduates can be seen in various forms of leadership position within the economy, politics, and culture (Source B) Additionally, a college degree gives an edge to people who want to work in jobs that do not require a degree including secretaries, plumbers, and cashiers (Source D).
