Judaism is the religion and culture of the Jewish people. The word “Judaism” derives from the Greek Ioudaismos, a term first used in the Intertestamental Period by Greek-speaking Jews to distinguish their religion from Hellenism. The unifying principles of Judaism are an identity by covenant with God as His “chosen

Christians affirm belief in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. This is important because the New Testament presents Jesus as the incarnate Son of God which died and was resurrected for the sins of the world. Christians who examine the Jewish views of Scripture must [also] question the equal authority assigned to God’s written law and the interpretations and commentaries later added by rabbis. This has resulted in a constantly shifting body of teachings that are based on human traditions. 2 Peter 1:20-21 debunks this Jewish reasoning when it declares: “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
The most fatal flaw of Judaism is that it universally rejects the New Testament’s declaration that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel, much less the Son of God. As a matter of fact, Judaism denounces the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The Jewish people are still awaiting the Messiah. The Jewish people believe the Messiah will be God’s anointed human representative. They do not believe that Messiah will be a God-man. This Jewish teaching is in direct opposition to John 3:16-17 (KJV): “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to
Judaism, which originated in the middle east, is one of the oldest religions in the world. Judaism is the religion from where Catholicism and Islam have their roots. The main difference between Judaism and the previously mentioned religions is that Judaism is based on the old testament entirely excluding the new testaments in its teachings. Jews believe that they are the people chosen by God and that because of the covenant they have the duty, more than any other group of people, to keep the law of God. The law of God in Judaism comes in the form of the Torah. The books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, which are said to have been written by Moses, form the Torah.
Judaism is an ancient religion which originated in the Middle East and has spread throughout the world. Today the followers of Judaism have many tradition s and rituals in which are celebrated all year round in thanks and in praise to God. Shabbat is one of the most important rituals and is celebrated by nearly every variant of the Jewish Religion.
Judaism is the belief in one God. Judaism is derived from the Torah, the first five books of the bible. The founders of this religion is Abraham and Moses. The God that they worship is Yahweh. This God chose the people of Israel and requires worship, and rituals and believes that if this is done a Messiah will come. The role of God and the Jewish community in each person’s life they have to go through cycles of events that and with traditional rituals. For example after the first Sabbath after the birth of a child, the father is called forward to recite the blessings for the mother
Last but not least, Judaism comes from the Hebrew word Yehudah meaning Judah. It is the religion and way of life for the Jewish people. Judaism is considered to be the oldest religion. The Hebrew Bible is called the Torah. A synagogue is their place of worship and their services are led by a rabbi. You can be born Jewish or you can convert. There are 14 million Jews worldwide. About 42% are in Israel and about 42% are in the U.S. The remaining Jews are spread worldwide. The spoken language of the Jews is Hebrew. Men wear a small beanie on their head called a kippa while praying, eating or saying blessings. Jews have kosher diets. They can eat chicken and turkey but not pig. The Jewish religion celebrates their own holidays and special days such as Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah. Imagine receiving
“Business ethics is the application of general ethical ideas to business behavior” (Lawrence & Weber, 2017, p. 94) and it’s through these ideas that good, bad, moral, and immoral decisions are made based on the foundation and framework of how we view life. For this reason, our moral compass when based on a biblical worldview should influence how we approach making decisions as it pertains to business ethics (Porter,2013).
Judaism is the religion of the Jews. It was established by Abraham and they (Jewish) believe that he got chosen by God to follow covenant. Abraham was the first Jew at the time. The Jews also have their own Bible and it commonly known as Torah. Today, Judaism is based on the commandments which are based on the Torah. Torah was written by Moses and Jewish people believe that God told Moses to do so. Literally, Judaism affects a lot to other religion such as Catholic and Christian. Judaism believe in only one God, Jesus Christ. In reality, Judaism is not likely stand for a unique religion but in theory it is. Through many Century, many ceremony of faith has clearly shown up, even though it may see difference from another point of view, but they all show a general equivalence of faith in God.
What is Judaism? Who are Jews? Judaism is considered one of the oldest and most popular monotheistic religions today. Judaism’s followers are called Jews and they have been through many tough challenges and trials but are still able to proudly identify themselves as Jews. Jewish beliefs, customs, history, holidays, symbols, and the holocaust are just a few of the things that make Jews who they are.
Judaism is one of the world's oldest religious traditions. Pre-modern Judaism constituted (and traditional Judaism today constitutes) an integrated cultural system of Jewish law,
Judaism was developed among the ancient Hebrews found in the Middle East. It is considered one of the oldest monotheistic religion. Judaism is told in the first five books of the Hebrew bible (Old Testament). They believe they have a covenant with one God. Jews trace their history back to Abraham but Judaism was found by Moses. Followers of Judaism, focus on the relationship between the land of Israel, mankind and the relationships between the Creator. There is no formal set of beliefs. Followers of Judaism, believe God chose them to set an example of ethical behavior and holiness. Jews keeps God’s laws in exchange for the many good things God has done for them. They believe it is important to do everything as a community. Where Christians
Judaism and Christianity each have their own beliefs and traditions, with Judaism being a religion that shaped Christianity as it is today. Both religions were shaped by the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament, which is considered by many to be the biblical law of God (Molloy, 2009). Christians however, consider that in the New Testament with the arrival of God in human form, that our sins were forgiven. In its earliest stages, Christianity was considered a sect of Judaism. Jesus and his apostles even considered themselves Jewish in the early years of Christianity. While followers of Judaism do believe in one God, they do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah or that God is the Holy Trinity.
When it comes to the discussion as to what constitutes as Judaism, I believe that it is important to remember that the discussion as to what is Judaism is quite debatable. The discussion of what constitutes Judaism as it comes to the Jewish identity has brought many different many different definitions among those who have studied relevant fields. Additionally, when attempting
The struggle between calling Judaism and religion or culture had risen throughout the society. They have cultural characteristics as well as religious characteristics. Although, Judaism is a religion. It can be called as a culture at the aspect of the Judaism's life, but Judaism itself is a religion. They have the only supreme God that created the universe which makes an extent to creationism. In addition, Judaism has similarities with Christianity which is also viewed as a religion. Furthermore, the way that they distinguish each other made them to be different from other people, creating a cultural trait.
Judaism is one of the oldest, current and influential religion in world history, which until today emphasizes the identity and memory monotheistic religions. Through time, it has transformed
Judaism is one of the three mainstream religions that started in the Middle East. People of those religions have a common ancestor, Abraham, who was call by God to renounce the worship of the gods. Other religions did not believe in the afterlife. That we have another life once we die, either to go to heaven if we obey God or to hell if we did not. Reading the world’s religions make me realize that I have no idea of what Judaism is because even in our school in my country they do not say a lot about it, instead, they give you more information about Islam, and Islam only.
Judaism is one of the oldest religions in the world. Jewish people have suffered persecution through the holocaust, they were left with nothing. No leader or land to call their own as everything was taken from them.
