In the “Work Interest Assessment”, my result was “Artistic”, according to the survey, artistic people like to be innovative and creative. People who fall in this category usually likes to artistic activities like photography dancing, singing, painting etc. I can consider myself as an artistic person because I am passionate about photography. To pursue my passion, I have been part of some photography workshops, and groups. I see photography as a very creative activity because it involves certain types of technique and angle, which makes it really enjoyable. Another thing I do is that encourage myself to spend at least one hour in a day with my camera to keep my passion alive.
My results in “Skill Assessment” was managing time. Time management
My top three preferred traits from the Holland Career Inventory were Artistic, Social, and Enterprising. I believe the results are right on the mark since my B.A. was in Studio Art and I am a Special Education Teacher. I employ my art background in my class and our CTE program. In my class, my students learn in all modalities often creating amazing study guides and this year I am going to incorporate visual notetaking. I adore the freedom I have as a teacher. In our CTE programs, I create posters, brochures, and other items using Adobe and other products. Becoming a teacher has brought out my social and enterprising side and the development of these areas helped me become a part of our CTE pathways. Every opportunity I go out into the
The population selected in this context is that of high school students. High school students are young, with some individuals considering them as leaders of the future. This is because students normally decide on their career paths when they complete their high school level. The purpose for this analysis is for the determination of their pattern of interest, as well as what they are inclined to do because of their personality type. To facilitate execution of this particular activity, I will ensure usage of Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs.
Decaying Morals Terror swiftly invades the town of Salem in Arthur Miller’s book The Crucible as accusations and fear play with the minds of the bewildered and ignorant citizens. Because Abigail and the girls fear that they will be hung, they say what they did, which was dancing in the forest, was against their will, saying they were bewitched by others. Abigail and the girls then go on accusing almost everyone in the town. Arthur Miller reveals that fear and hysteria can destroy relationships and tear apart a society through Abigail Williams’s clever but deceitful ways of trying to avoid punishment. For example, in order to avoid punishment, Abigail and the girls accuse people in the town of bewitching them, and, in doing so, begins the
After reading about the six different occupational themes, I think the theory that goes with my work personality the most is the conventional theme. Those that fit the conventional theme typically have a need to feel secure and like to be in a routine, they value structure. They are organized, efficient, and detail-oriented. I think I fit this category because I really value organization, routine, and structure. Conventional people are typically interested in accounting, investing, and information systems. At work they deal with numbers and data, setting up procedures and systems, and keeping records. These work activities and interests describe what I am interested
To kill A Mockingbird is a classic novel by Harper Lee, the story is told by an older version of the young girl scout in the novel. The book is about discrimination and prejudice towards certain people. The saying went “it is a sin to kill a mockingbird” because they have done nothing wrong. There were two characters in the book that I think can be considered “mockingbirds”. These characters where Tom Robinson and Boo Radley.
In practice this suggests we show in the way we work and think that we are creative - flexibility, problem-solving and openly drawing/painting.
After having taken the strong interest inventory assessment, I was given a theme code. My theme code is RSA, which provided me with valuable information that can help me in identifying career options with my interests. I totally agree with the results produced by the strong interest inventory, I felt that the results were very accurate. Furthermore, realistic personality types have good skills in working with tools, mechanical drawings, machines, and animals. More importantly, the ideal work place setting would be outdoors because they do not enjoy being stuck inside, so these individuals avoid office work. Additionally, they enjoy putting things together and also building stuff. For example, construction workers are of a realistic personality type because a construction workers responsibilities mainly consistent of

The Personal Globe Inventory test, or PGI, is a test that measures interests and self-estimates of ability in a vast array of fields (Tracey, n.d.). After taking the PGI, my results concluded that the best-fitting occupation for me was a photographer. I had a score of 99 out of 100 for photography. Photography involves artistic skills, and it generally also includes an interest in nature. My score was so high due to the fact that I had very high scores in both the artistic field, 64, and the nature/outdoors field, 75 (“PGI Results”, 2016). A score greater than 60 means that field is important to you (Lam, 2016). Artistic means that one focuses on creative and expressive activities, and nature/outdoors means one focuses on liking to work and
I was, of course, too young to understand the attributes of a good photography at age fourteen, but I would still flip out my phone at all times of the day and snap pictures of anything that seemed interesting. As time went on, I started to understand what made a good photo and what didn’t. I learned to shoot people in the shade on sunny days to avoid strong shadowing, to leave “breathing room” for objects not facing directly towards the camera, to use grid lines in order to balance a photo, and so on. Photography became the first passion I had for learning more outside of school, and I longed to learned as much as I could. I soon became even more excited about travelling because I knew there would be brand new landscapes and cities to capture. I came to see that there was a specific patience to taking pictures in new places. I would always be twelve steps behind my family as I would continually pause to raise up my camera and quickly set up for a seemingly good
Obtaining a career focus is valuable in any college student’s lifetime; therefore, it would be profitable to meet with a career counselor to discuss occupational goals and interests. Moreover, involvement with the Focus 2 assessment is another contributing factor used to guide the career decision making process. The Focus 2 is comprised of five simple tests that will analyze compatible careers for the individual taking the assessment. Mr. Richard Glass, the career counselor that agreed to meet with me, believes that the work interests assessment produces the most promising results. For instance, my work interests fall under the social, artistic, and investigative categories. Through computerized analysis, I was given a list of occupations that would agree with the data received. The content of this paper will evaluate the results of the Focus 2 assessment, in addition to the major points discussed by Mr. Glass. Come the end of this paper, the reader will gain a better understanding of my work
Describe an interest or passion. How did you become interested in this area? What motivates your passion?
While others claim that photography captures the inner soul of a person, or deliberately defines it as painting or writing with light, but in my case, it is just simply a newfound love hobby. I undeniably adore and look up to expert photographers I encounter down the road may it face-to-face or the other way around. In my heart, I silently desire that someday, with hard work, determination, and perseverance, I will become professional and famous as they are. Since my husband bought a Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) as an anniversary gift, my penchant for photography commenced and ignited. Let me detail the essential truths behind my passion over photography.
There have many attempts to solve the problem of world poverty in recent years. Average people have begun to care and are willing to help with the age old problem. However, the world is making little progress toward the eradication of poverty. Many of the things we are doing, out of the goodness of our hearts, just aren't helping. For various reasons, the typical response to poverty of donating vast sums of money to hurting countries doesn't help the poor near as much as other solutions and sometimes may even make the problem worse.
