Smith is an alpha, but he's the alpha of something that should not exist. A wolfhound. A creature born and bred in a lab. He has no last name, no real identity, just a number tattooed on his forearm. He and his pack have since escaped their prison, and are now living day to day, hiding in plain sight among the humans. Until he finds his mate. Omega wolfhounds should not exist. They were killed whenever their natures were discovered in the labs. Teddy is very much real, however, and to keep the peace between Teddy's pack and his own, Smith willingly offers himself as a prisoner to the pack, and soon a full fledged member, if only so he can be close to his other half, and protect him from the dangers of the world. Teddy loves and fears
In a pack of wolves, there is always a hierarchical system. The alpha wolf leads to pack and sets the tone for their culture. According to the wolf girls native culture, “The main commandment of the wolf life is Know Your Place” (Russell 232). By the time the wolf girls were taken into the new human society, they immediately sought a leader. The new environment made them anxious for direction.
The first element we should talk about is plot; the plot structure for The Wolves is a variation. The two plot structures it is similar to the most are climatic and circular. In climatic plot structure the characteristics are few characters, few locations, late point of attack, and few plots. The Wolves share the characteristics of few characters, few locations (where they played their games), and a late point of attack (when number fourteen was killed). Circular plot structure characteristics are it ends where it began, and the expression of futility and meaninglessness of human effort. The Wolves also ended where it began (beginning of a soccer game).
I believe that wolves should be introduced to Isle Royale. I believe this because I have recently been researching on wolves in Isle Royale and have found many great reasons why it would be good for them to introduced there. Here is some background information on Isle Royale: It is a remote wilderness island isolated by the frigid waters of Lake Superior. Isle Royale has offered many discoveries like how wolves affect populations of their prey etc. This essay all about why I think that wolves should be introduced to Isle Royale.
In the article Saving America’s Wolves, by Kristin Lewis, the author uses second person point of view and this choice has an affect on the reader. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a wolf? Today, wolves around the country face many dangers today. Throughout history and folklore, wolves have been depicted as being dangerous predators that come after humans, but that is far from the truth. In fact, humans today are more of a danger to them as they are to us!
Fact 2: A top male and female wolf, known as the alpha pair, lead each pack. They are the most experienced, and often, the oldest wolves.

Around the world, there are thousands of wildlife animals. Gray Wolves are one type of them; their small domestic animals that are very fast, move in packs, and hunt deer and other animals for food. Despite the fact that Gray Wolves hunt deer, they are helpful animals to the ecosystem. Gray Wolves keep the ecosystem’s movement in check. They actually help the environment more than hurt it. They can be as friendly like dogs if raised from pups. They’re very interesting animals and it should be illegal to hunt them because they are almost extinct, they keep the prey population in check, and are unique animals trying to survive.
Wolves have always been a symbol of the wild, free in spirit and roamers of the land. These animals are considered majestic and protectors of the wilderness. They have always roamed the western United States, although their population has fluctuated over time. Over the past 10 years wolf reintroduction into Yellowstone National Park has been a controversial topic to those of the United States. As of 1995, wolves have been reintroduced into the park. This has come with some strong opposition and yet has prevailed. The future of the wolf in Yellowstone park is now looking bright, although not certain since there still are those who want them banished again.
During the 1940’s, wolves were exterminated from Colorado and few have come back since. As a result the ecosystem that we have in Colorado is somewhat skewed due to the absence of them. Many people think that wolves are a nuisance and would get in the way of the agricultural style that colorado has. However, wolves are considered a keystone species which means their “presence would reinvigorate the natural order” (clifford). For this reason wolves should be reintroduced into montezuma county. The reintroduction would greatly benefit and restore the balance of our ecosystem.
A wolf shifter omega struggling with uncontrolled shifting finds his perfect partner in the workplace romance of The Omega's Reluctant Alpha.
In May, 2016, 20 calves were killed and not eaten in four days in the area of the Absaroka Mountains, outside of Pinedale Wyoming. (Urbigkit ,2016) However, it doesn’t stop there, every day livestock and wildlife are killed and rarely eaten by wolves in almost every western state. This is a problem that needs to be addressed before ranchers lose their herds, and before the wild herds are depleted beyond restoration. If the wolf situation was bad a couple years ago, well now it’s worse, even some of the “protectors of wildlife” are starting to come to their senses.
1. The wolf is a pack animal. What does it mean to be a pack animal?
We could assume that every wolf was once a man. At the beginning Carter explains how wolves are “carnivore incarnate and he’s cunning and ferocious”, but yet she also explains how “melancholy” a wolf can be because “the beasts would love to be less beastly if only they knew how” (110, 112).
Kade agrees to give Demarco the space and time the wolf shifter needs, but when trouble finds the little omega, Kade puts his foot down. Unfortunately, that only pushes Demarco away. Kade decides that time alone with his mate is what they both need. He takes Demarco to a cabin in an attempt to convince Demarco that being an omega doesn’t mean the wolf has to give up who he is. But trouble follows them, and both
