William Shakespeare is one of the greatest writers in the English language, playwright and actor. Shakespeare lived during the times of Elizabeth I and James I. He coined most of the new words and phrases that are still used today. This paper will analyze various information regarding Shakespeare’s childhood, education, employment, etc.

William Shakespeare was born to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden, a shoemaker and a daughter of an affluent farmer in 1564. He was born on April 23, and baptised two days later. William attended the local grammar school, the King's Scchool. He was born and lived in a smal town called Stratford-upon-Avon about 100 miles west of London. Shakespeare had three younger brothers and two older sisters. Shakespeare never attended University. Because of the lack of records of when Shakespeare was a child,some people question his existence.

Christopher Marlowe or De vere could have been the author of Shakespeare's carrier. There is a controversy over the existence of William Shakespeare. In the article , “Was William shakespeare just a pseudonym”. Henry James once stated “I am… haunted by the conviction that the divine William is the biggest and most successful fraud ever practice on a patient world.”. There is two sides of the controversy that William was not what he said he was. In conclusion I agree with the Oxfordians that Shakespeare was just an actor not a poet and playwright.

Given the religious turmoil of the time and the horrendous executions to criminals, why did William Shakespeare choose to mostly write comedies? Did Shakespeare not understand the mood of society, or perhaps did he write exactly the type of plays that everyone needed to see? To fully understand why William Shakespeare chose to write of amusing scenarios, its important to know what society in his time was like: sorrowful, argumentative, but also enlightening. Amidst the troubles of religion and despairing sights of death, theater rose to the top of many people’s hearts.

Even though Pocahontas was born during the later years of Shakespeare’s life, interesting correlations exist between the playwright and the Indian princess. King James I of England wrote about witches, which gave some background information for Shakespeare’s Tragedy of Macbeth. As the special guest of Queen Elizabeth I, it is likely that Sir Walter Raleigh watched some of Shakespeare’s plays presented at court. The daughter of a Native American chief, the King of England, and the famous explorer, all lived and gained notoriety during the lifetime of William Shakespeare.

Is William Shakespeare really a Renaissance Man? I believe Shakespeare was a Renaissance man, he wrote many famous plays. I'm sure everyone has heard of Romeo and Juliet, a love story between two people who could never be together because of family issues, which was written by William Shakespeare. Shakespeare is considered a Renaissance Man because he was a talented writer, he was very knowledgeable which showed in his plays. Shakespeare did have a few disadvantages along the way. Many disagree that Shakespeare shouldn't be given the title as the Renaissance Man. People do not see his potential as a writer, because of his lacking background. Because Shakespeare’s school caught on fire, the school lost most of his records.

From his tragic story of Hamlet to the romantic comedy The Tempest, William Shakespeare has been capturing his audience since he started writing in the late 1500's. When Shakespeare first started writing in 1590, he began writing plays, both tragedies and comedies, then he wrote poetry called sonnets. It is said that he last thing he wrote was finished in 1613, because as people suggest, that was when he lost his sight. He died three years later in 1616. He is known around the globe for his writing style and unique plots. His plays are studied in high schools and colleges around the world. Shakespeare has made history with his literature. During the Renaissance, Shakespeare wrote in three different genres, comedy, tragedy, and poetry.

William Shakespeare is known all around the world for his literature. Shakespeare was a very successful writer and we still see his work from 400 years ago today. He wrote 154 sonnets throughout his life. Shakespeare sonnets tell us what was happening in that time of his life. It is very easy to determine Shakespeare’s feelings and emotions through his sonnets. It is still a big mystery on his personal life, no one really knows much about him besides being an amazing writer. One shocking thing I learned is that he was in fact gay. He was in love and admired The Prince. In many of his sonnets he mentions the Fair Youth and how he is attracted to him. Shakespeare reveals his feelings towards the Prince in his sonnets. Overtime his feelings grow stronger for the youth and they begin to change. Shakespeare’s attitude towards The Prince changes overtime and is shown in sonnet 20 and 126. His feelings for the youth is very different from sonnet 20 to 126.

Those same three words also come to mind when I think of the iconic writer William Shakespeare. On February 10, 1616 Shakespeare's younger daughter, Judith, married Thomas Quiney, the son of his Stratford neighbor in Richard Quiney. Six weeks later, Shakespeare revised his will. Within a month, he died. He was buried inside the Stratford parish church. His monument records the day of his death as april 23, the generally accepted date of his birth. Shakespeares son, Hamnet, died in 1596 at the age of 11, the playwright’s daughter Susanna had one child, Elizabeth, who had no children. Little is known about Shakespeare's early life. His father was a tradesman who became an alderman and bailiff. By 1578, things had started to go wrong for Shakespeare's parents. The boys were pulled out of school to help with finances while john handled the taxes. Another tragedy struck the family in 1579, when eight year old Anne had died. This was a extremely hard time for the family especially having to deal with financial problems then having there young daughter die.

On November 28, 1582, in Worcester, in Canterbury Province, when William was 18, he married Anne Hathaway, who was 26. As it turns out, Anne was pregnant with their first child, Susanna when they wed. She was born on May 26, 1583. Two years later twins Hamnet and judith were born. After the birth of the twins, there are seven years of William Shakespeare's life that are unaccounted for, no records exist. Scholars have named these the "lost years"
