Because of the lack of records of when Shakespeare was a child,some people question his existence.

When Shakespeare first started writing in 1590, he began writing plays, both tragedies and comedies, then he wrote poetry called sonnets. It is said that he last thing he wrote was finished in 1613, because as people suggest, that was when he lost his sight. He died three years later in 1616. William Shakespeare's life was barely recorded. There are no medical records of his birth date, but he was baptized on April 26, 1564 at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon. From this information scholars believe he was born around April 23,1564, the same day he died 52 years later. Shakespeare was the third of eight children to John Shakespear and Mary Arden. William was not born into a rich family, he went to King's New School, in Stratford, which was the local grammar school. Growing up Shakespeare experienced the loss of his three siblings forcing him into living a darker childhood than most could imagine. As a child Shakespeare attended King’s New School where he was taught Latin, grammar skills, and also how to construct many plays (“Shakespeare’s Life”). Grammar school was one of the most influential parts of Shakespeare’s childhood because it shaped his writing styles and shaped who he would be as a writer. Shakespeare faced some difficulties in his early life. His two older sisters died young, and he barely survived a plague that killed 1 out of 5 Stratford residents. Shakespeare received some education, but likely only up to a grammar-school level. He never left England or attended a university.

Attending school from six to thirteen is not enough time to educate someone good enough to write a play, and especially not enough time to write a world famous play. Picture a six your old starting school in first grade and then finishing school around the age of thirteen in seventh grade, and then they grow up to write a play that is widely known by almost anybody. When writing a play you have to have some type of literary education to write something so phenomenal.
