Being a hero requires an individual to possess bravery, kindness, and selflessness. These characteristics are noble qualities people admire. Heroes achieve incredible tasks that other people cannot imagine. A hero is an individual who is courageous, would risk their life for others, caring and selfless such as Edward Byers.

To Start off, what is a hero? Well a hero to me is someone who is admired or idealized for courage and outstanding achievements. To be a hero you have to have concern for others. intelligence is the most important reason of being a hero.

King was one of the most important people in the civil rights movement and led to greatly change the country. He helped create equality for all. King never got to see what his work lead to though, because on April 4, 1968 he was murdered right in front of the door to his motel room. When the thought of the tragic events of 9/11 comes to mind, most people think about death and despair. It takes a certain perspective to understand and appreciate another side of the events. Heroes, in their truest form, rose from the smoke of 9/11. From going the extra mile to save someone in worse condition than them, to aiding to the rescue and evacuation of Manhattan, all of the heroes on 9/11 did something that wasn’t required of them, something that they did selflessly, helping ones who, even in their own desperation, were worse off than themselves.

Heroes have different backgrounds, personalities, and journeys. A hero is someone who is willing to make sacrifices for others, making their lives a little better. Heroes are there for people; it’s what they do. A very big hero in my life is my mother.

Dr. Martin Luther King stood up for what he believed in and the was fighting against discrimination. He protested and rallied with people who believed just the same as him. He wrote a letter from jail after he was arrested for his protests. He also wrote a speech that he gave called “ I Have a Dream” to prove his points and persuade others to fight against discrimination. The discriminated were treated unfairly and were give cruel punishment. Dr. Kings gave them hope for their country.

Martin Luther King played a huge role into ending segregation of African Americans citizens in the United States. King led the bus boycott to encourage abolishing the abuse towards African Americans. Martin Luther King has been through many struggles just to improve for our people to be treated fairly.

Martin Luther King Jr. is a well known and an inspiring man to all cultures of the world. King was and still is one of the most influential heroes. King 's views and believes helped African Americans through the 50 's and 60 's to the rights and liberties that was their right. King faced many obstacles on his journey, things like jail and even assassination attempts. Despite these obstacles, he became a successful leader during the Civil Rights Movement and after his death, by guiding African Americans in a non-violent and positive direction for the fight to secure rights and equality for blacks.

Martin Luther King Jr. was very important during the times where African Americans were not being treated equally and being discriminated. He fought for what was right without using violence. He spread his massages throughout the world. When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man, activist decided to set up a boycott. This became known as the Montgomery bus boycott.
