I still have seven semesters left at Northview. After one I have been able to see how things operate. To better the experience of students here at Northview I think that there should be less homework.
Homework has caused me an abundance of stress. Homework has caused me to lose large amounts of sleep. Also homework is the most hated thing in school, so it should not be the thing we focus on the most. In addition, on some days homework has reduced my excitement to learn, and lessened my creativity.
In 8th grade one of my teachers announced that there was not going to be any homework. Instead of homework we would work on a packet in class. We had 2-3 days to complete the packets. For once in school I was excited to learn about something that
In my opinion i think kids should have less homework. One of my reasons is it will take the stress of your shoulders. I also think this because say you have to study for a test on monday and because all the homework you get a bad grade. In addishion, this is why i think kids should have less homework.
Homework is often seen as a useful study tool, however it can cause more problems than solve them.
Students should not have homework. First here are my reasons why some kids don't do it . According to resch 10 % out of 20% students don't do homework. Scond students should have time for some fun stuff. 20 % out of 6 % students play games 8 hours a day in school and students have game, clubs, stuff and go until 8/9 hours a night and don't get a nuff sleep. Third homework sometimes it reck the sports. And Kids don't study and kids don't use class time they talk instead of doing homework. Next kids don't fish there homework don't want to do it. 30% out 40 % do it in team team study is only 42 minutes. After school 15 minutes go to relaxing that why we should have no homework.
Castle View High School, although some teachers, students, and parents say that homework is something that every student should do and should be a necessity, there should actually be less homework for students so their brains don’t get hot wired. The first reason is that students tend to improve if they spend at least 2-3 hours of doing homework. Students don’t want to spend 2-3 hours of homework after a long day of school, that can be exhausting to them and their brains. Doing homework very little, improves elementary and middle schoolers, homework mostly only helps improve high school students. Another reason is, teachers like students to continue working on the lessons that were taught, to be continued at home. We’ve decided ahead of time
The amount of homework given to students should decrease. The extensive amount of homework takes away family time that is necessary to child development. Also, stress that can can come with homework can cause health issues. The amount of homework given to students can cause students to cheat off students answers because they did not finish. Also, most of the homework that is assigned is not necessary in learning the material.
Do you ever have homework and have to work after school or get home late and your tired and just go to bed and never finish it? This is why we shouldn't have homework. You are tired and exhausted sometimes. You may have other things to do at home. You sometimes are so exhausted and don't feel like doing anything. I have three reasons on why we shouldn't have homework. I think you should read them if this describes you.
Schools in America shouldn’t have homework. It has been proven to not help with test scores or school work, but what it does help with, is lowering students’ health. I believe that schools should assign little or no homework, It does little to help and more to hurt the students. For instance, most students don’t have computers and are financially unable to get one. This is unfair and can cause the student to be behind on their schoolwork. Another reason is that students are so loaded with schoolwork and other family/friend activities that they don’t have enough time to do what they really need to. Lastly, the Finnish school system has shorter school days, more recess, and starts at the age of 7. Yet, it has been proven that they get one of the highest test scores internationally.
Shopping at the mall and hanging out with friends is much more important than doing homework. Why are students required to do homework anyway? It’s a waste of time so they should not be required to do homework. Homework is causing stress, which is resulting in students spending less quality time with their families as well as with their friends. It is also causing students to feel burned out and to not be engaged with school as they should be. Even though students need to learn how to manage their time more effectively, including budgeting time to complete homework assignments, they should not be required to do homework. Students should not be required to do homework because it stresses out students.
Schools shouldn’t have too much homework. Because it can be too much work. School should let students wear street clothes. For instance, some students may not have all the brain. But homework is good for extra credit.Street clothes should ok as long it’s school appropriate. And kids will have more things to wear. This is important because some may assume that school uniforms lessen a family’s clothing expense. However, many parents have complained about the cost of uniforms, which can be significant. Children outgrow uniforms quickly, and their uniforms may often get stained or torn. Replacement costs begin to add up, and parents also have to pay for casual clothes to wear outside of school. Schools with strict dress codes and uniforms have
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could get home, study a little, and just relax? Well most students have to deal with hours of homework when they get home from school. When I get home, I would rather do a little homework, relax, and spend time with my family. Not spend the rest of the day doing homework, when you already have 7 hours of school. I believe that giving homework is crucial to students who want to have a life outside of school.
Sometimes our parents have no time to help us because they have their jobs. Then if we can’t get any help it’s going to be either a late grade or an F because we can’t get a good grade without a complete assignment. Our parents could also have a goodnight sleep without having to worry about us failing their classes because of homework. Teachers will also gain out of no homework because they don’t have to deal with grading messy handwriting and awful grammar. They don’t have to stay up however long it takes just to grade all the papers their students. It’s especially hard for middle school teachers and up because there are so many kids and so many different classes. Teachers can go anywhere they want if their lesson plan is finished for the next day if there is no homework. They won’t have to deal with angry kids, teens and yelling at them if they’re failing school because of homework. Homework is keeping everyone up.
A 15-year-old girl went into the living room to ask her Mother about “How much homework they had when they were younger.” Once teenagers get into High School, they start to think about what their life looks like. “How much homework did you have when you were my age?” Teenager asked. Her Mother was confused about why her daughter was asking all those questions, and that is when she knew “homework” was becoming an issue. (Gwenn 1) Which clarified at OpposingViews.com.
As of right now, students have monumental amounts of homework. Some struggle to finish what they already have. So then, what’s the point in making this chore even more difficult? A longer school day means students’ have even
When a class is almost over and a teacher starts assigning homework, every student's heart drops. When students have an excess of homework, they do not do as well. Even though homework is a good tool to help teachers teach students subjects, teachers should give less homework because too much homework causes mental health issues in students and less homework helps improve test scores.
Teachers for some reason still giving extraneous amounts of homework for no apparent reason which is stressing seniors out. For example, my language arts teacher, Mr. Appling, basically gave out a minimum 250 words essay every single week night. Whether it was a free write or a prompt based on one of the books we were currently reading, it was extremely stressful. I think this class developed my gritty trait but more importantly activated it for college. I absolutely hated his class
