Even though listening to music seems like such a menial activity, it plays a big part in many peoples lives. Everyday I see kids listening to music while doing work in the library, which shows how big of an activity it actually is. One music streaming service that is extremely popular is Spotify and I have noticed many people using it. However, when doing work at school, I’m not able to access my music because Spotify is blocked on the Fordham Prep wifi. If listening to music is allowed in school, why is Spotify blocked? Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services, offering more songs than any other service, including Pandora and Apple Music. After noticing many people using Spotify, both in and out of school, I decided to join and quickly realized why it is so popular. You can access every song in just a few seconds, making it extremely convenient for its users. I no longer have to endure the hassle of searching through iTunes to pay $1.29 for each song that I want to listen to. Spotify also offers a lot more features than other services do. You are able to create your own playlists as well as listen to the many Spotify playlists, which are constantly …show more content…
One of the main reasons is that by so many people being on it can slow down the wifi. However, the Fordham Prep wifi is tends to be slow as it is, so how much worse can it really be? Another solution is to block sites that are less popular or rarely used by students in order to make the wifi faster, which can be done through a school-wide survey. Overall, music is a big part of many peoples lives, and Spotify only makes it more convenient and less expensive, something that I think is important for high school students. By unblocking Spotify, students are able to listen to their music freely and more easily, creating a happier and less stressful environment in
To get higher quality of music you need to pay a subscription every month or can stick with a standard version but u got to subire the advertise that keep comes every 3 music that it’s pretty annoying because it keep interrupts the experience of listening to music another downside of the standard version is that when a playlist or an album is played its all shuffle ( random) and you cant choose your next song, Spotify will select it for you and you but the worst thing of the the standard version is that you cant plau music offline, that’s mean that you have to be connect online all the time and by doing this it takes lots of battery percentages of your
For years we’ve heard the record companies complain about Pandora, Spotify, even iTunes the now universal go-to place for music, but I never knew why they were complaining. We’ve
Schools should be allowed to listen to music in class. Did you know that music makes
Today this is a thing most kids want to do in class and that is to listen to music while in class. It helps people with ADD/ADHD concentrate, if they listen to music. There also is a statistic about music that you’ll later read on about. With music comes responsibility, like listening to inappropriate music or using your phone to cheat. So they should have to have their phone on the desk or put it in a cabinet.
I have used Pandora Radio and Hulu and liked them both for the most part. They allow you to have entertainment anywhere you would like, whether it’s music or TV. As for Pandora Radio I liked it when it was free once you had to pay for it I switched. This is because when I’m in my garage, I have music playing 24/7. It’s very user friendly and welcoming so that just about anyone can use it. The impact that Pandora Radio has on the society is very minimal in my opinion, but for as for businesses it gives them a way to have music for their employees or customers. The plus with this is that it increases moral for employees so everyone will work harder and want to be there.
I believe that the kids need to have the ability to listen to music in class! Listening to music can help kids think better when doing independent work. It can also help kids study! Whether its for a big test or just a test coming up in the week, it can really help a child to remember the things they need to remember for a test. Listening to music in class is perfect for blocking out distractions. It’s like you're in your own little world!
Spotify was started to provide commercial music streaming services with facilities to search and browse music as well as download. Spotify has various opportunities in increasing the size of the company to a wide area. There are also opportunities in creating interactive websites and providing the customers with extra games and offers. However, there are various challenges to meet these opportunities which may include investments and customer issues. There are two recommendations for Spotify, first is to develop a mobile application for smart phones and second is to create new offers along with online gaming. This will foster growth in the Spotify’s reputation in the market.
Spotify’s mission is to connect millions of people with their favorite songs and create a service that people love to use. They believe that music should be easily accessible for everyone, as listening to music may enrich peoples lives. They want to make a win-win solution for both the people who are creating the music and the people who wish to listen to the music.
Music is so important to our lives, this is why music should be mandatory in our public schools. Music has an influence on all of us, unless you’re deaf. This is one of the many reasons why we should have a basic knowledge on how to use music. Learning how to use music opens so many doors to us. We can use music to make peace or war and everything in between. So, why wouldn’t we teach our children the importance of music in our lives? There is a plethora of ways that music affects us.
Spotify, which was a technology based on Sweden, entered the U.S. market around mid 2011. Spotify’s services are all provided in a single computer program or even applications in mobile devices, such as in phones or in tablets. Spotify in general consists of three different services. Firstly, Spotify provides Radio service. This is a non-interactive service in which the user searches a song, play it, and then Spotify will generate a random playlist, which will be
Most 13-year-olds spend their time fangirling over bands and playing video games. Should these same 13 year olds be choosing their academic futures? Streaming is a debatable topic among students and teachers. People assume that streaming keeps students at their academic level, however it is clear that that applies to stream does more harm than benefit. The students make this crucial decision at a very young age, which limits their career options and chances of going to universities and it also affects the quality of education they receive.
Since I tend to spend most of my time listening to music, from a business aspect, I would spend more money consuming music. Spotify is one of my only services that I pay for monthly and
One reason why students should be allowed to use cell phones is in class is they can listen to music to help them concentrate better. For example, in the article ‘Do Cell Phones Belong in the Classroom’ it states “Many teachers have given in and allowed their students to listen to music through their earbuds while they're doing individual class work (reading or writing or conducting research). "I concentrate better on my schoolwork when I'm listening to music," is the rationalization from many students.” (Earl.) in other words this shows that many students agree that being able to listen to music while working helps them concentrate and would cause less disruption or socialization.
It keeps us motivated. At Johns Hopkins University, a man named Chris Boyd Brewer did an article about how music helps us. He claims that music establishes a positive learning state, energizes learning activities, focuses concentration, improves memory, provides inspiration and motivation, and releases tension. These are all types of things that could help benefit some people in the academic side of school. Another thing, from past experiences, I’ve learned things through music. Whether it’s memorizing the lyrics, or it has a cool tune. Everyone knows a couple songs by hearts, imagine this being converted to useful things, like how to memorize and equation in math, or how to use there, their, and they’re. When it gets memorized, it stays in the brain forever, and is always there when the information is
Copyright grants an author or artist a set a of exclusive rights that allows them control over publication, distribution, and adaptation of their copyrighted work as well as the right to authorize others to use their work. Unauthorized use of an artist’s work under copyright infringes on the copyright holder’s exclusive rights. In this case, Spotify is accused of unauthorized use of many artists’ work under copyright. To prove infringement, the plaintiff must show proof of valid copyright and proof that important elements of the original work have been copied. By streaming David Lowery’s music without notifying him, obtaining a license from him, or paying correct royalties to him, Spotify is infringing on his exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute,
