Well, Huck Finn was the opposite of a good example to us as readers watching his actions. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn should continue to be banned because it shows that Huck Finn is a poor example for those reading. In my argument, I’m going to show that lying, smoking, and being rebellious toward society is the reason why Huck is a bad role model. Although lying may get you out of trouble for the time being, it’ll eventually catch up to you.

Huck Finn should be taught in high schools. The current state of the book draws controversy because of the use of the N-Word. The current debate is about whether or not we should remove the book from high school curriculums and required reading. We have a few options for what to do with the book. One, we get rid of the book from reading lists and from high school libraries. Two, we wait until college and require young adults to read it. Three, we continue to teach it to high school students, remembering to always be conscious of the connotation and effects of the racial slurs used in the book.

Many books around the world have been banned because they are offensive. One example is Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, a novel about the journey of a thirteen-year-old boy named Huck, who fabricates his own death to run away with an escaped slave named Jim. The two voyage in a raft along the Mississippi River to gain their individual freedom. In addition, Huck gains a new understanding about humanity. Huck Finn has been creating great controversy on both sides of the argument: to ban or to keep in the school curriculum. Multiple different people have disagreed about this novel and whether it should be allowed to be taught in school or banned since the late 1980s. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a valuable novel and should be included in high school curriculum because it teaches students about the history of American society, it demonstrates Twain’s style of writing, and it addresses the topic of race.

I think they should keep the old version of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn because it is more educational.

Slavery was still very common practice in the setting of the book, and the plot of the book is a kid trying to help a black slave escape and find his family. People did not think the book should’ve been sold because it included a white kid socializing with a black man, which was not proper at the time. The next controversy still goes on today. Many schools do not teach the book because Twain used racial words that weren’t frowned upon then, but are now. Despite all of that, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn should be taught in schools because it teaches American history, it helps kids learn valuable literary techniques, it is a great example of writing from a legendary author, and it forces kids to explore and develop their own morality.

A huge number of students, teachers and parents think that The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn should not be allowed to be taught in any level of the education. However, The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn is one of the most prominent works in American literature, so high school students and higher education students should be taught this book. Stealing things, founded a gang for “killing people”, in The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn Twain used a lot of words to describe things above: teachers and parents are afraid of that if students read things like founded a gang or fight with people, and then students will imitate it.
