Society has been formed by what has previously preceded it. It is heavily influenced by the thoughts and actions that historical figures have said and accomplished. Examining the present issues of today such as women rights, racism and individual freedom historical figures have already dealt with and are influencing present day society. The Seneca falls declaration in 1848 is moving forward the women's rights movement, William Lloyd Garrison is influencing the Black Lives Matter movement and Thomas Hobbies is supporting gay marriage and abortion's.

It is estimated that 39,511 women and 410 men will die of breast cancer this year alone. There will be 229,160 new cases of breast cancer in men and women this year. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death for women. My great grandmother who I look up to and is the strongest person I know, is a two time Breast cancer survivor and she believes that the organization Susan G Komen has made a huge impact on breast cancer in women. In this speech I want to pay tribute to and recognize all the wonderful things Susan G Komen has done in the research and cure for breast cancer. In society, many people act different ways and were raised differently, making a divergent society. The reason people are different is because of their nurturers, there are a lot of people that influenced others in their lives helping them become the person they are whether it was good or bad. There are many people that think that everyone is born the way they are and live by their nature. And others who think people influence and make other people do the things they do. The way people act and the beliefs they hold stem purely from their nurturer; people will act a certain way based on how they were raised and nature has a lesser impact on the actions people take.

This is a pretty interesting question, because we have to persuade ourselves to think about our society today and how it has changed during the latest centuries.
