1William Shakespeare’s longest play that he has ever written is the play Hamlet, it is a depressing but uplifting play that goes into uttermost detail and emotional refinement. This play describes a middle aged man whose father had recently died of an unfathomable cause, shortly after his death the ghost of his father visits him and speaks a message that changed the way Hamlet felt about his uncle. Hamlet learned that his uncle lured his mother into being with him in a lustful way, then after she knew that Claudius killed her beloved husband by putting poison in his ear she made it as if she mourned him for one month and remarried the brother of her recently deceased husband. First, Hamlet says “that the everlasting had not fixed/ His canon gainst self-slaughter” this proves that Hamlets main character trait would be brooding because this shows that Hamlet was so depressed that he wanted to kill himself but it went against his belief and he was motivated by someone very special to him. Also, this is why Ophelia motivates Hamlet because Hamlet loves and lives for Ophelia. Then, this is shown when Hamlet exclaims “I loved Ophelia. Forty thousand brothers could not with all their quantity of love make up my sum. What wilt thou do for her?,” this shows how much hamlet truly loves Ophelia and this is who motivates Hamlet. One the other hand, like Hamlet Romeo did “Ah, Juliet, if the measure of thy joy be heaped like mine, and that thy skill be more to blazon it, then sweeten with thy breath this neighbor air, and let rich music's tongue unfold the imagined happiness that both receive in either by this dear encounter.” this proves that Romeo and hamlet both a have a brooding as one of their main character traits. Also, Hamlet has a different character trait than Romeo because Hamlet did many things like this for example, “” this showcases one of Hamlet's main character traits, intelligence.
