Donald Trump is running for president. He is laying down a lot of proposals. One of the biggest proposal is trying to ban Muslims from entering the United States, when he becomes president. Donald Trump addressed these issues saying that he is trying to protect the US and the people away from danger. This is important issue because it is unconstitutional.
Donald Trump is trying to make a proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. There has been a poll where 68% of the 2016 Republican front-runner’s supporters would ditch the GOP and would follow him for presidency. Many of the Republican nominee thinks Donald Trump’s proposal is a bad idea. The REpublican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus says, “Trump’s proposal could hurt the party, he said: “That’s as far as I’m going to go.” Many people already disagree with him. Even Jeb Bush says he is not going to be a nominee. However, Donald Trump tweeted, “Wow, what a day. So many foolish people that refuse to acknowledge the

It is unconstitutional. Donald Trump is attacking the Muslims. There are many Muslims in the US and they have done no harm. He is blaming them and trying to make them leave. This like how Hitler and the Jews. Where Hitler discriminated and blamed the jews and try to get rid of them. This is somewhat similar because Donald Trump is picking on one race and discriminating them and blaming them. Trump is saying that every Muslim is bad.
In conclusion, the issue is Trump is picking on one religion. He is picking on the Muslims. He is explaining how all them are bad. My issue with this article is the reason people are coming to America is freedom. People should be able to express their own thoughts, religion, speech, and etc. They shouldn’t be ban for things the whole religion did not do. If Trump proposal somehow passed, the US wouldn’t be the place for people to immigrant. Not all Muslims are bad
“Donald Trump is the only Republican candidate who seems to have any inclination to act strictly in America’s interest. More importantly, he is the only Republican candidate who is willing to even address the problem. Trump may not have been right to say that we need to stop letting more Muslims into the country or, at least, examine the issue, but he wasn’t crazy to suggest it either”.
I. Newly inaugurated President Donald Trump has recently approved a ban involving the restriction of travel into the United States of immigrants from seven Muslim countries. Since this ban is only for up to 90 days, this is just the beginning of a potentially longer or even permanent ban. This is not the first time he has demonstrated the lack of regard with social equality.
On Saturday, January 28th, Donald Trump enacted an immigrant ban on the countries of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. Trump believed that the Muslims in those states were terrorists and could possibly hurt the United States. When this ban came into effect, immigrants were stranded at airports and people, nation-wide, were livid and confused as to why the ban was enacted. Immigrants were frightened for their lives and wanted to go back to their home in America, but they were considered dangerous. After the ban, the United States chose sides on whether or not to support or despise the act. In, "Ask a Chicagoan, Mr. President, about 'dangerous' immigrants", the Chicago Sun-Times Editorial Board successfully persuades the Chicagoland
Imagine being a parent at an airport waiting to go see your kids but then all of the sudden you can't pass through the gates, why? Well, because the current president Donald Trump banned 7 nations from entering the United States. What do you do now? That's how frustrated and disappointed people were at the airports when the ban took action on Friday, January 27th. It was unaccounted so people were not aware of it although, it was expected to occur anytime soon. He believes the United States would be a better place without those nations so, therefore, he felt the need to ban refugees from entering the United States. It all might sound scary but as he was running for candidacy many people were aware of how everything could be changed
Rallies, riots, and protests have been springing up even outside of the U.S. Former president Barack Obama has already spoken out against the immigration ban recently put into place. “In his final official speech as President, he spoke about the important role of citizen[s] and how all Americans have a responsibility to be guardians of our democracy― not just during an election but every day,” said Obama’s spokesman Kevin Lewis, quoted in a 2017 NPR article. Not only that, but according to a 2017 New York Times article, the immigration ban is illegal. Over 50 years ago, Congress outlawed discrimination against immigrants based on national origin. In 1924, after the troubles relating to the Asiatic Barred Zone, Congress created a comprehensive “national-origins system.” Trump, in defense, quoted a 1952 law allowing the president the ability to “suspend the entry” of “any class of aliens,” which was restricted in 1965, something our president should know if he’s going to run the country for four years. Donald Trump, by doing this, is violating the beliefs of the Philosophes, i.e. Voltaire, Rousseau, and Locke. He does so by ignoring religious tolerance, and by violating the Constitution and natural rights. Donald Trump is not only lacking knowledge on the Constitution and American laws, but he is also putting out country at risk by placing this ban in order. On the contrary, Trump is doing so with best
To clarify, why don’t we start a small introduction about this guy and his speeches about immigration. First of all, Trump is a candidate for president of the United States, which is in a high position to speak up for things that may be causing many problems in the USA. As a candidate, Trump must say what he is willing or going to do after becoming a president of the United Sates. Moreover, he says many things and there is a thing that we want to point it out as a main point of our research. Trump says,” We need to stop giving legal immigrant visas to people bent on causing us harm. From the 9/11 hijackers, to the Boston Bombers, and many others, our immigration system is being used to attack us”(Trump’s website). This quotation shows us how Trump feels about immigrants and their intention about coming to the USA. Which makes us think about the consequences later on. More importantly, trump’s ideas about immigration are unrealistic; this paints a negative image or reputation of all other immigration groups.
In a book he wrote in 2002, he states that the process legal immigrants must endure should not be “an easy one,” while conveying the need for a strict immigration system to be in place (Goggin). Throughout his presidential campaign he has promoted his plans on building a wall that will help prevent illegal immigration into the country and other astounding strategies. One of the strategies he has proposed is mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, but has changed this intent through the campaign. However, Trump has explicitly stated his intentions to create a ban against incoming muslim immigrants and a call for “extreme vetting” for refugees seeking asylum in the country
Donald Trump, the leading contender to become the Republican party’s nominee for US presidential candidate, has called for a “total and complete shutdown” of the country’s borders to Muslims in the wake of the San Bernardino terrorist attack. On December, 2015, Republican frontrunner Trump demanded a:
Should Muslims be allowed entry? My answer is absolutely yes. As a business school student, I cannot analysis the problem from the perspective of constitution and the opinion in the article is clear enough. However, from my recognition of it, Trump confuses the concept of Muslims and terrorist organization. There are 1.57 billion Muslims in the world and 2.454 million of them are in the United State, which accounts for 0.8% of total U.S. population (Pew Research Center, 2009). If all the Muslims are terrorists, all of us will live in misery and disturbance caused by them. In fact, those terrorists just make up a tiny fraction of the whole Muslims groups and they cannot speak for the whole Muslims. What Trump do is grossly exaggerating the threat
“I'm doing good for the Muslims,” Trump told CNN in December. “Many Muslim friends of mine are in agreement with me. They say, ‘Donald, you brought something up to the fore that is so brilliant and so fantastic.’” Not long before he called for a blanket ban on Muslims entering the country, Trump was proclaiming his affection for “the Muslims,” disagreeing with rival candidate Ben Carson’s claim in September that being a Muslim should disqualify someone from running for president. “I love the Muslims. I think they're great people,” Trump said, insisting that he would be willing to name a Muslim to his presidential cabinet.
Discriminating against the people that believe in the Muslim religion is a rising issue that has broke out to many across the nation. President Trump has even signed a executive order to ban the number of Muslims that enter the country each year as Trump cut the amount of refugees that enter the country in half (Zapotosky, Nakamura, and Hauslohner). In addition, this will help with acts of terror within the country, but looking from the outside it appears as racist. Although, not all Muslims are terrorist, to reduce the amount of attacks is through the ban of Muslims. Also, by doing this it will create about 50,000 more jobs for the Americans. This could help more than just the belief of terrorism; in addition, it can help opportunity for
When muslims enter the country they deserve the same right that is given to other immigrants ; freedom of religion. Banning muslims from entering the country because of their religious beliefs is as preposterous as not allowing a new person into a church. The United States is a boiling pot of ethnicities, nationalities and religions. The U.S should not ban muslims from migrating into the country, because it will create tension among Islamic countries, separate families and be a threat against religious freedom. People often fear things they do not understand, it seems that many Americans are associating muslims with the ideals of terrorist groups simply because they are unfamiliar to their religion. If the government does not look past their fear of allowing muslims into the country, it will be alone in their struggle against real
The universalizing and stereotype constructions of Islam contribute to the ongoing marginalization and vulnerability of Muslims in the United States by placing a travel ban on their families in other countries. The travel ban makes it impossible for their families to visit them especially if a loved one is sick like in the article. It’s not right that his aunt can’t come into the country to comfort her sister during her husbands cancer just because President Trump has implied that people from those countries may be terrorist out to do Americans harm. Even when people of other countries successfully pass the background check they are still denied their visas in order to enter our country. Where is the fairness in stereotyping those people and not allowing them to enter into our great country. I think that as long as they pass the background check they should be allowed to receive their visas to enter America. Making them pay for what others have previously done is unethical and wrong. People should not be permanently barred based on the negative actions of others. Protecting national security from terrorist is a top priority in this country but not at the expense of alienating innocent Muslims from coming here. Majority of Muslims are not terrorist extremist so to treat them as such is unjust.
First of all, the immigration order should not be passed because it is unconstitutional. The order is singling out Muslims, and it is in violation of the First Amendment (Zurcher). The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” (“Bill of Rights”). The immigration order at hand
This ban is a major issue for the country. Banning immigrants because of their religion flies in the face of our U.S. Constitution guaranteeing religious freedom. President Trump spoke of banning Muslims, his executive orders have been stopped by the courts due to unconstitutionality.
