Being unsupportive of animal rights is utterly inhumane and is the equivalent of murder. The controversial idea that animal rights should not be supported is completely ignorant and simply, it does not benefit you or our society. The cruelty of animal testing as it stands can be eliminated only if we all support animal rights. Extensive amounts of money can also be saved as animals are very inefficient test subjects with results showing complete inaccuracies. How tragic to think that we could earn absolutely no benefit from the death of an animal because of failed testing? Our world is extremely precious, and by supporting animal rights we can transform our world into a better place.
Testing on animals is not effective and inaccurate in
Animals very rarely serve as models for the human body. Many people are brought up with the idea that animal experimentation is necessary to insure the safety of humans, but in reality, these experiments are creating only harm to animals. Animals have done nothing to deserve this backlash, and by educating the public on the true unsuccessfulness of animal testing, the ethical side is forced out in the open. The argument ‘Animal Testing is Bad Science’ by the People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), argues that ethics dictate the value of each life, and that no life is overthrown by another. This well formulated argument effectively integrates ethos, logos, powerful structure, and robust premises to persuade the audience.
For seven days, we both recorded how many calories we ate for every meal of the day, as well as how many carbohydrates, proteins, sugars, fats, and sodium amounts we had. We decided to analyze how many calories we had each day because the calories were quantities with high numbers, and there was a lot of variance throughout the days. This would provide data for an interesting graph. We also decided to analyze your percentage of sugar intake daily in relation to your weekly total intake. We thought this would be interesting to show because it not only compared your daily intake, but also showed how each day was different for both people. To add to that, analyzing the sugar intake showed that since our diets leaned on different kinds of food groups, we both
When visiting an animal shelter, petting the beloved family dog, or seeing a funny cat video on Facebook, it’s hard not to melt at the sight. Who could ever harm such cute, innocent creatures? It may be hard to think of how that could be possible, yet many companies have no problem hurting animals for their own benefit. Medication brands spanning the U.S., China, Germany, Canada and more test their products on animals daily to approve them for human use. Cruelty Free International and the Dr. Hadwen Trust states that at least 115 million animals may be used in experiments worldwide each year. The experiments administered to the poor animals are cruel and unethical, ranging from breeding them with the purpose of inducing mental illnesses or skinning them raw and injecting them with electrodes and chemicals. Furthermore, research has proved that the results are so unreliable and faulty that the testing is not even necessary. Evidence has proven that animals are subjected to unimaginable horrors during animal testing for the purpose of advancing the modern medical world, yet the entire operation is unnecessary for several reasons.
Do you love animals? Do you think using animals for testing is good? Well scientists and vets test on animals to find a way to cure diseases like cancer in humans. If the tests fail the animal has to die or they will get really ill. They even use cosmetics on animals (they apply makeup on them.) Some countries ban animal testing for cosmetics. Animal testing is torture for animals and should be banned everywhere.
If rabbits could speak, they would probably tell you to stop supporting many of your favorite companies. Even your most trusted household brands, such as Maybelline, Arm & Hammer, Listerine, and even Lysol contribute to the millions of innocent animals subjected to cruel and wasteful product testing every year. These and many other widely popular brands implement animal testing during the production, modification, and design of their products. This testing is extremely dangerous to animals and in some cases humans as well. In spite of this, products American citizens use on a daily basis come from companies that test their products on animals and the consumers of these products are virtually blind to the evils that lie behind them. Animal testing is immoral and should be abolished because it tortures innocent creatures, is an ineffective method of testing a product, and is far more expensive than the alternatives that exist.
Eyes being injected with chemicals, tests that are causing mutations, an endless cycle of torture. Every life is just as important as another. If all those things were done to humans just to have a better appearance it would be a way bigger deal. Instead scientists are doing this to animals and most don’t seem to care as long as they get their long volumized lashes, their plump colorful lipsticks, their soft hair, their de-wrinkle skin replenishing lotions, no one cares as long as they’re benefitting from it. Animal testing shouldn’t be allowed; It should be banned. Testing cosmetics on animals is not only unnecessary but also cruel and inhumane. Things like mascara aren’t just tested on “gross rats” but also dogs, cats, bunnies, pigs, sheep, monkeys, birds, ferrets and many more cute little animals.
Animals have always been the main source of companies to test for the safety of their products. Animal testing can be traced back to Greek scientists such as Aristotle experimenting on live animals. Animals were being tested on because doctors wanted to make sure their products were safe for humans. So, instead of having to put humans at risk with their unknown products, doctors thought it would be safer to test on animals first. This practice is still widely known today, and many people find it acceptable. Animal testing is understandable in the sense that products should be tested for safety first before being released to the public to use. However, many people find animal testing to be cruel because scientists are putting animals through harsh conditions such as being confined to a small area or being abused for disobeying. Those who find it cruel, do not understand how people do not see what is wrong with torturing these animals when there are many alternatives. Animals are exposed to dangerous chemicals that could put their life at risk,
Chimps are put in this cage for years and has no food and water. A chimp is used every day for research. It was my first day as a scientist in a company that they offered me a job. I was going as in an undercover as an FBI. As soon as I walked in saw chimps being tested on. They were sending me undercover because peopled were filing reports about it and they were denning it. The senior professor told me to do my first job. He told me to give shots to the chimps and she what happened as I did that the chimps were afraid to came near me. As I walked down the hall they were all going to the back of the cage of how scared they were. The professor didn’t want to tell me what the shot did because he feared of my reaction. But I had already an Idea
A quote from an experimenter showed his view on animal testing “Because the animals are like us.” Experimenters were asked why it is ok to test animals the answer would be “Because the animals are not like us.”
When it comes to the topic of Animal Testing, most of us will readily agree that alternative methods do exist that can replace the need for animals. Where this agreement usually ends is on animals are different from humans and therefore make poor test subjects. I agree that there are other methods but I also disagree that the animal are poor test subjects because a drug might work on a cell in a test tube but how will it work on a human. We don’t know until we test a living creature.
An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States for scientific and commercial testing (PROCON.ORG, 2015) and More than 4 million animals are experimented on inside British laboratories in 2012 (ANIMAL AID, 2014). Killing animals by laboratory experiments generates a lot of anxiety about the future of wildlife, which led to the writing of this essay. In the beginning of this essay, It will discuss both Points of View against testing on animals. After that it will demonstrate review of cruelty and brutality suffered by the experimental animals. It will then focus on the alternative methods and finally It will be shown that testing on animals is out of date. In spite of the practice of experimenting on live animals gives
Happy Hunger Games! May the odds ever be in your favor. The odds are only in my favor cause nobody will defeat me. Your money will be saved. You lost money and won money, but you maybe don’t see that I can win the games, I can. I have spent many hours on working to win these games for many years. The amount of training I do has brought me to the top. I may get hurt, but to get back up so I can win for my sponsors. I may be young, but I will come out victorious as no one would think I could do. I will win cause I am creative, I can use a variety of weapons when needed in combat, and I can shoot a bow and hit my target from 20 feet away, and I'm a great actor.
Today, I’m going to talk to you about 4 things. Those being; why animal testing is a problem andI Introduction
Have you ever witnessed a white mouse with the terror filling his eyes as he looked out of his bleak cage and into the face of the big man with the lab coat? Or have you ever seen a pregnant rabbit being tortured by the people you call scientists? One of the questions facing society today is whether or not animals should be used in scientific experimentation. Animal rights activists have pointed out the fact that animals play an important role in nature and human’s lives. Killing animals for any purpose is one of the steps that will destroy Mother Nature as well as the human race. For this reason, animal testing should not be used in scientific welfare and cosmetic industry.
According to recent research, health-conscious women make up 16% of the U.S. adult population and 32% of the female population. Generation X and Baby Boomers are two generations that appear to have a strong audience of women who are health-conscious. The percentage breakdown is 21% of Generation X women are health-conscious and 38% of baby boomers are health-conscious. These generations seem to more health-conscious due to growth in income and education. “Senior women age 50 and older control net worth of $19 trillion and own more than three-fourths of the nation’s national financial wealth”(Holland 2009). The amount of women with family incomes of $75,000 or more continues to grow. The amount of well-educated women also continues to grow. All these demographics closely seem to align with the demographics of the typical CVS customer.
