Clearly, everyone should want to be top of their class and should try and get an advanced diploma. I mean, if you don't want to graduate smart and want to be a dull and possibly homeless person later in life, then by all means go ahead and be my guest. I believe life needs to be fulfilled at all times even during school. What I mean is that I believe everyone should try their best and graduate top of their class. I want to because I want to change the world and want everyone to know my name. I would like to be one of the top students of my grade because it can help me get into a great college and succeed later in life.
First of all, they can get me into a great college. I'm trying to get into a college like Harvard or some other huge college,
(43) Schools give one the time and materials to achieve all what one desire in life. (43) In the same way, I would challenge the students to leverage their energy and time to become the best they can be in their life. (43)
When I first started high school I hated it, I felt like it was a lot of pressure and everyone seemed to know everyone and I had just moved from Texas and came into a class where everyone knew each other. I stood out and felt very uncomfortable but as time went by I loved high school. I made lots of new friends, had great teachers that were very close to me and was succeeding in my classes. My main goal was to graduate with a good GPA, do well on my ACT and make my mom proud. Coming to Illinois was a big change from Texas, my parents separated and my dad abandoned us so my mom decided to move to Illinois because her brother lives here and would help her out financially till she was on her feet. My mom works two jobs. I am the youngest out
Dear to whom it may concern, I would love to be in Honors English 2 (10th) and Honors World History (10th) as they are my two favorite subjects and I am the most passionate about them. I am currently in Humanities Academy as a freshman and my goal is to keep up the challenging classes because not only do I love to be challenged, but these subjects make me excited to learn. School comes very easy to me and I love to learn so much, so I know I can handle the tasks thrown my way during these courses. My personal goals I wish to achieve are to keep improving my strengths and making sure I am learning to my fullest abilities. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always said I want to be a famous author when I grow up. Now as I am getting older,
I would describe myself as one of those students who always feel the need to do well in school. To me doing well in school ensured getting into a good college and being able to achieve your dreams. I participate in many clubs and sports in my high school career. By doing many different things it opened my eyes to many different aspects of high school. It gave me different skills, all of which I still need to this day. Also, by being a well-behaved student it sets up a good example for those who follow, especially when you are a leader. To be a good leader one has to be a good student. Leading is a privilege because many people look up to you and you should be able to be the best you
What I want for my future to be like? In my future I want to graduate with a high school diploma. After high school I want to go to the U.S. Army for Eight years. After that I would like to go to college to become a Pediatrician.
There are many reasons why I want to be in the Teams program and many things I want to accomplish in high school. I want to try to push myself, I want to challenge myself and do things that may be out of my comfort zone and I think that teams will give me the perfect opportunity to do that. I think that it will be interesting to see how far I can go in my studies. I think it will be amazing see how many more new things I can learn in Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science. I am particularly excited to see all the new things I will learn in math. I believe that if I don't try I won't be able to succeed and that's why I want to push my self.
The needs of the students go unheard and are masked by insufficient teachers, cliques, and the need to prioritize popularity and attractiveness. According to Let Teenagers Try Adulthood, "By the time those who graduate from high school go on to college and realize what really is at stake in becoming an adult, too many opportunities have been lost and too much time has been wasted." Instead of promoting individuality in students and offering educational opportunities, vain ideals are promoted and have little effect outside of high school. Students have thus neglected their education because of false expectations which are promoted along with unsatisfactory educators. To address the issue high schools must promote the importance of receiving education instead of focusing on vain ideals which students believe define their importance. Also, qualified teachers and faculty members should be put in charge of molding and shaping students into successful individuals who are prepared for life beyond high
Being in an American high school I strive to get the best grades even if that means putting in extra time and effort. My mom has always instilled that education is the key to success and life is only what we make of it, so if you deposit $50 dollars in the bank you are only going to get $50 dollars in return. In order to receive more, you must invest 100% because milestones are always going to be there in the road but work ethic goes towards the success in
I should be considered as the Shoals Student of the Year because I hold myself to high standards, work hard, and have a deep love for the Shoals area. My parents have instilled in me the need to always do my best, and I have worked very hard to do so. I believe it is important to do my best in everything. I have always given my best effort, whether it is a good grade, the position of drum major, honor band tryouts, or sweeping the floor. This is something I have done since childhood. I believe that this work ethic makes me an acceptable and exceptional candidate for Shoals Student of the Year.
School, a routine that I have to complete, every day, five days a week. Each one of those days I carry my bag, my purple and pink diamond patterned backpack to store everything from the most insignificant items like tissues and gum to the important ones like pencils and books. All these things I carry, help get me through high school and to reach one of my next goals of going to college. My folders, stuffed to the brim, shredded, ripped, that have papers falling out of all sides, hold all my important notes and assignments that need to be saved to study for finals. My extra daily contacts, located in the mid sized pocket of my bag, with prescription -3.50 and -4.25, that are ready to replace any that fall out, so I can read the board and store
I sincerely have a deep desire to give back to my school and community at large. I have been given so many opportunities to grow and succeed that I feel that I need to give back to in as many areas as possible. My involvement in the community began in elementary school through my church group. I have always had a love for the elderly. I regularly visited nursing homes and assisted living facilities engaging in activities there. Also, I worked with the Salvation Army during the Christmas break to raise money for the homeless. In high school, I have had to manage my time wisely to include volunteering with the demands of advanced placement and dual enrollment classes and extra- curricular activities. One of my main passions is to volunteer
I would like to attend Kennedy Catholic High School for many reasons. One reason I would like to attend Kennedy is because of the better education as a private and Catholic school. When I shadowed at Kennedy, I noticed that there were a lot of AP class available and enjoyed seeing people were placed at the levels of their needs. Another reason I would want to attend Kennedy Catholic is because of the wide variety of sports that I am interested in such as Volleyball, Basketball, and Football. I also like that there are many clubs to join or create. Specifically, I am interested in joining or creating a cultural diversity club. In addition, from the moment I shadowed, I knew I felt comfortable being there. The kind community, diverse students,
Top-tier colleges are becoming increasingly competitive; therefor, acceptance rates are at an all-time low. Universities are receiving more and more uniform applications, so leadership abilities, exceptional essays, unique extracurricular activities, and high test scores can help to solidify a noteworthy application. The competition is fierce for acceptance because a college degree is essential in today’s world for most career paths. Among the degrees that can be obtained, a degree from an Ivy League
I have been born and raised in Ramsey, Minnesota. However, because I attended Anoka high school and Anoka is super close to where I live, many times I will tell people that’s where I live. One of the reasons why I came to the University of Minnesota is because I can go home pretty much whenever I want, it’s only about a half hour drive and I can also catch a ride on the North Star train. I also have always liked being surrounded by people so I wanted to come to a bigger school to get that experience. The U has also been a dream of mine because my parents, more specifically my dad, are big fans of the Gophers. Some of the activities that I was involved in high school were S.T.A.R., Key Club, Rally Crew, National Honors Society, head managing
to be the best student I can be, even though at times the grades don't fall in my favor. I do not think
