Well I want to become a TBI forensic technician to help bring precision in evidence and tranquility to the public. I want to make sure that with the evidence I collect and process for the state is nonbias. I know evidence collections are one of the most vital aspects in building a strong criminal case against a defendant. Being able to work for one of three state labs, would be an honor. From an early age, I knew I wanted to be part of the criminal justice system. One of the main reasons I chose that field of career was because due to the mistrust in law enforcement. While attending college at the University of Tennessee at Martin, I was offered a great opportunity to become one of the graduating class of the renowned National Forensic Academy
I get asked the same question all the time, why do you want to be in law enforcement? My answer: This world has far too many bad people out there and not enough good people. With each person I help I hope to spark a change in not only their lives but the lives of those around them. This spark will turn into a flame and then a burning fire of hope, that spreads across this world. This is my
I also read on because I was really interested in this topic and hope to be in this business in the future. I’m fascinated by the thought of being able to help hundreds of people through solving the murder of their loved one, or by benefitting law enforcement in the establishment of a person’s innocence or guilt. By doing this, I could help people, all while doing something I love.

One job that I have always been interested in is becoming a Detective for the FBI. I’ve watched so many shows on what the detectives do and how they handle the crimes. There are different kinds of detectives that you can become. It would be an interesting job to do. I would get to experience different crimes and work with different people. The cool thing about this job is that some of the head offices get to travel and work. Also, it would be a great chance to see how other states control their community when something happens. Detectives get the chance to save people’s lives and take in the bad, if they get them. Becoming part of the team is like getting adopted and everyone becomes your family.
There will always be a fight for justice, and where there is crime there are those who must solve them. I wish to pursue a career in the criminal justice industry, mainly working as a forensic science criminalist. Those who use scientific logic and evidence found at the scene of the crime to solve the case, The heroes who don’t wear the labcoats instead of the black and blues. Heroes like these need certain skills, interests, and values that make them an official criminalist.
It is a long process when becoming a detective. In college, classes such as: English, American history, business law, government, psychology, sociology, chemistry, and physics are suggested. Before becoming a detective, one must attend a law enforcement academy, providing the officer with a foundation of education with sixteen to twenty-four college units in criminal justice or administration of criminal justice. (Morkes 677) After graduation from the law enforcement academy the officer undergoes job training with a field training officer for a period specified by the law enforcement agency and continues to work while on a probationary period, ranging from one to two years.

However, when I got to college, my mindset changed, but not for long. During my freshman year, I was a biology major wanting to be a Veterinarian. My passion at that time in my life was to help animals.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a police officer. I’m sure, as a little boy, what first caught my attention were the flashing lights and sirens on the police cars. It could have also been then the facts that police officer were permitted to carry a gun and had the ability to run red lights. This is why as I grew up and played games like cops and robbers, I was always the police officer. During my teenage years, I later joined the police explorer program and really started to learn about police work. That’s when I
