Boston University is a good fit for me because it’s the location, which is close to home. The location is it’s a big part because I want to stay in the city. I love the different culture and the rich history. Picking a college the first time was hard, and it still is but now I have a better sense of what I want and need. I want something new and different and going to a hard rigorous high school allowed me to want to keep the rigorous curriculum within my education.
Boston University is a pretty big school which I would have the opportunity to meet different people and Boston is just an amazing city to be in. It offers a large option of nightlife, shopping, dinning, and history. I lived in Boston most of my life and what attracts me is the city-vibe that there is always something happening.

When I was in high school, we took a tour there and I like how the classes were small and how the teachers were passionate on what they were teaching and the student ratio. I saw how people were so ambitious and passionate about what they were studying. Even though Boston University is a big school, there is many ways you can make an imprint on the campus and it was something I liked when I toured the
It feels like everyday I meet people who ask me what college I want to attend. I give them the usual list of colleges I wish to apply to, but when Hofstra University comes up, people ask me, “why do you want to apply to Hofstra University?” I say there are infinite reasons why I wish to go to Hofstra. The number one reason being that it is really close to home. Hofstra is an excellent school - one of the best schools in New York. Hofstra has over a 100 distinct majors and minors to choose from ranging from Biology to Engineering to American Studies. I plan to major in Biology, and Hofstra is the best for my major because it has resources to offer its students giving them hands on experiences. Being an AP student, I love to take arduous classes
I wanted to attend Marist College for their excellent work opportunities and rigorous Computer Science program in which Marist is in partnership with IBM. It also helps that the Poughkeepsie campus has a picturesque view of the Hudson River Valley and that I’m not too far away from home.
I have fallen in love with UNCW after first-hand seeing it for myself last summer. I know a lot of alumni from UNCW and have heard nothing but positive things about the school, teachers, and its courses. I am interested in majoring marketing or business and UNCW excels in both of these areas for me. In addition, it provides many courses that assist me in meeting my goals for my career. I would love to attend UNCW because it is close to my hometown but also far enough to where I can be an independent. Not only do I believe the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the right fit for me and my future career but also has every aspect that I am looking for in a college. It has the perfect location, the perfect size, very affordable, and the
I am applying to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, because it is a large school with outstanding credentials, with a strong community and lots of school spirit. This is exactly what I am looking for for in my college environment. I want a large school population where I can meet new people every day, get involved in many activities, and where I can make connections and build relationships with my professors. I also look forward to living in snow again - I moved from Denmark to California a few years ago, and I miss the winter weather!
I have attended my current school, City Honors in Buffalo, NY, since the 7th grade. While I cherish the education and experiences I gained during my six years there, my graduating class is very small and I feel ready to move forward, grow and utilize new opportunities. When I started my college search, I knew I wanted to attend a large, diverse university with strong academics and an energetic and enthusiastic setting.
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
The school i chose to research is florida university. I chose this school because it has great programs and they have all sorts of majors to choose from. And they also have where you can wait four more years to start on that graduate degree. Even if you're not ready. , and they also have a good softball team. I feel like this school will benefit me in many ways not just in sports but also in academics. With this campus i feel like it's welcoming to others. But also you don't have to worry about this campus. I feel like it's chill. And you don't have to be worried about it
A school that met every single one of my expectations. The only probably was the price tag. Since I was a child, I have been aware of financial issues. My father spent years working his was up the ladder in his job for the state agriculture program, when I was in second grade my mother went back to school to obtain her nursing degree. I was accustomed to them working multiple jobs at once to support my sister and I, which they always managed to do. Knowing all of this seeing the price of attending Boston University truly affected me. I know how much my parents have done for me and to have to ask them for such a huge sum of money seemed unfair. This scholarship would allow me to get closer to making my dream a reality. I hope to attend Boston University and get a degree in communications, a speciality of the school, get my masters degree with a focus on public relations, and then begin working in the field as a public relations
At Penn State, I feel I would make a name for myself. This name might be known to the entire 46,000 students on campuse, but in the classes I am taking and the professors I talk to they would know me for a student who has the drive to take the next step and want more. Through my high school experiences I believe that if I can take advantage of what a high school has to offer, then I can certainly take advantage of all of what Penn State offers. It will be here where I truly form what kind of person I am and through all the activities and intership opportunities offered, I feel that this will be a great place to gather all the opportunities I can in order to not only succeed at Penn State, but also after in the real world.
I have always known that I wanted to attend a top-tier university. The other details came later; the small size, the proximity to an urban hub, and my major itself. For a while, I was convinced that it would not happen; that I just wouldn’t get in. Now, I realize that I have an opportunity to do so. This is an opportunity I do not intend to waste.
Baylor University has been a dream of mine since I saw Brittney Griner and the Baylor Lady Bears go undefeated in 2012. The amount of school spirit and tradition Baylor offers in all of their sports really increased my interest. As a senior in high school school spirit is a tremendous deal and one of the qualities you look for in a school. Overall the number of traditions here will allow me to contribute in numerous ways to the community.
Being born and brought up in New Jersey, Rutgers always was known as a prestigious university. Rutgers is a place of opportunity. My brother who is a transferred into Rutgers last year, is always telling how the Criminal Justice program is amazing. He continuously tells me about the incredible classes he has had the pleasure of taking with professors such as Dr. Edem Avakame, Minteh, Shields and Adubato Associate Professor in the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice. Along with these professors, he has told me about his advisors, Lawanda Thomas and Alexandra Charles, who helped him as a transfer student adjust to being a new university student, along with showing him opportunities in networking within the Criminal Justice field by sharing news
The school I would like to attend is Boston University. Boston University is a private school in Boston, right across from Fenway stadium. Boston University is a very nice college with excellent programs. Tuition at Boston University is not cheap. Tuition and fees make it around 50,000$ a semester. The average student gets around 36,000$ in financial aid. Most students graduate around 40,000$ in debt. The federal work/study program is available at Boston University.
Throughout 9th and 10th grade, I have worked very hard academically. Yet, as I am about to venture into 11th grade, I feel as though I am ready for a challenge. Truthfully, the thought of starting college at the age of 16 sounded just like the type of challenge I needed. Furthermore, there are three main reasons why I want to attend the Mary Baldwin Early College: because I am seeking an academic challenge, because I believe that the Mary Baldwin Early College will help me to achieve my career ambitions, and because the Mary Baldwin Early college offers everything I hope to experience at a college.
Before I was accepted to this University back in 2012, my school took us on a trip to visit the school. When we arrived on the bus I was so excited. When I stepped off the bus, I knew that this school was made for me. The way the school looked to the way they operated fit me. The operation of the school is very easy to learn and easy to adapt to. The operation included easy access to counselors for first year students as well as transfer students. This is very helpful for the students who are new to school and do not have anyone to show them around, like I did not. I also loved the way they had Freshman’s in particular dorms
