a. Why do you want to attend a military academy?
I would like to attend a military academy because I would like to be the best that I can be, while at the same time, serving my country. Education at the AFA is comparable to the best universities in the country, including my prospective major, Astronautical Engineering; so, the service academy is an excellent academic choice for me. Additionally, only the best-of-the-best attend these academies, and being surrounded by such great people will be terrific to make new friends and network.
b. What are your career aspirations?
The ultimate end-goal of my career is to become an American astronaut. This is, of course, a long way away; therefore, in the meantime, I want to be an engineer in the Air Force, if I go to a service academy. Otherwise, I will study Aerospace/Astronautical engineering at a university and work for NASA or a private company.

I don't know what my calling is, but I want to attend the Coast Guard Academy for a bigger reason. I want to belong to something bigger than myself. I want to attend the Coast Guard Academy because I want to serve my country in a branch of the armed forces. I am interested in the engineering majors offered at the academy and I know that attending is a great way to be exposed the environment of engineering and get first hand experiences of what we will encounter in the future. I also want to get out of my comfort zone by challenge myself
Military life is not just a way to earn a living, but a lifestyle and commitment, one that I love and have chosen to lead faithfully and with absolute conviction. I am dedicated to our mission, always willing and ready to take charge of my duties.
I’m applying for a career of opportunities and experiences that will make me a better man, and to serve our country’s military. I’ve carefully observed my cousins’ experiences at the US Service Academies, and I’ve learned of the opportunities that would be available to me. Each of them has come out with more strength, more confidence, more discipline, and most importantly more character. Both the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy would challenge me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I want to take on this challenge in my life so that I will grow, and that I will play a part in ensuring the safety and security of our country.
Since have taken an interest in this job I started researching. Growing up in Texas, we were always very supportive of the military. However, I never really knew what it meant until I started researching and figuring out what makes America so strong. All the story's lead back to the military. What I learned from story's people from the military have told , and are still telling is that serving your country can leave a legacy. It can also impact your country forever, which is very clear. The most shocking thing that I discovered was that people would not say that they did it for personal gain but for the people. It shows the dedication that they have to this country, and it is
The early mornings when you are awakened by the sound of a bugle call, to gather for accountability and to salute the red, white, and blue American flag to start your military day, brings you a sense of fulfillment and a smile on your face. When you are in the United States military you are a part of an organization that becomes your family, because you live, breathe, fight, and die for your country. When you join the United States military you are broken down mentally and physically, so that they can build you up to protect and serve your country. In the United States military your weapon is the love of your life, because you eat, sleep, train, and kill with your M16 rifle, but who could
While in college I plan on joining the Airforce ROTC and studying aerospace engineering in hopes of becoming a pilot. This will require a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. During my studies, I plan on being a member of student government and other student organizations. I am very interested in government and politics, also I am very social. When I graduate college I plan on serving in the United States Air Force.
Some say they want to attend USMA because they want to follow the family tradition - I am not from a military family therefore I can not relate. Others say they want to attend the USMA because it is West Point, the name itself brings pride to any family of a future Cadet. I am not saying that these responses are wrong. I just believe that before all of this, the main reason to attend the USMA should be to become an Army Officer.
When I grow up I will be a military mechanic because I want to make machines to help the soldiers out in the battlefield win the wars in the future. I also want to build defences so when we get attacked, the defences will protect us from enemy infantry and heavy artillery. To be a little more specific, I want to be an artillery mechanic because I want to work on field artillery cannon weapon systems including automotive, turret, fire control and chemical protection subsystems. I want to be an ARTILLERY MECHANIC because I want to learn skills like electronic and mechanical principles and concepts, use of electronic, electrical and mechanical test equipment, operation, testing and maintenance of specific types of weapons systems, understanding
I want to serve. Being in the academy is the best method of getting myself into
Sir I’ve never wanted to work in any other branch. Every branch of the military has a Judge Advocate program if I wanted to be a military lawyer there are much easier ways than the marines, but sir I don’t want easy, I want to be the best. I want to be the very best version of myself, and the Marine corps is the catalyst for that metamorphosis. I use metamorphosis and not change because I already have the qualities needed for this program inside I just need help honing them to be the most effective lawyer and rifleman
One of the biggest reasons for my desire to attend a Service Academy is the opportunity to study and grow with some of the best young men and women America has produced. Having been homeschooled my entire adolescent life, I have been quite sheltered from socialized academics. My classroom time during my duel enrollment at Palm Beach State College, and Broward College stunned me as to the individuals I was surrounded by. Most of the students were unmotivated, they did care about their academic success. They seemed as zombies going about their studies with a perfunctory attitude. This both scared me and gave me a sense of drive to soar above those who did not care. My father frequently coached me about life, he told me, “Son you are the product
The United States Army is one of the main factors that allows America to be a free and democratic country. The Army defends, protects, and honors the United States of America. Ever since I was a young boy, I saw greatness in the United States Army and hoped to one day be a part of it. I always envisioned myself in a leadership position and when I decided to join the Army, I knew being an officer was for me. To me, being an officer in the U.S. Army is a career unlike any other. There are many opportunities as an officer in the Army to advance, further education, and grow as a person. The army allows you to switch your MOS and attend more training to further education or to change careers completely which is something
I want to attend the Air Force Academy so I can further my education and enhance my leadership capabilities for the Air Force. The Academy’s strenuous training and academics will equip me with the necessary skills and experiences to lead, plan, and execute the highly important missions of the military. I possess a mindset of determination and selfishness, necessary to handling the rigorous curriculum and adversity of the Academy. The school will push me beyond my comfort zones and throw many obstacles my way, forcing me to adapt and over come on a more challenging level. The Academy will take and mold me into a young and diverse leader of tomorrow’s generation of armed forces. I yearn at the chance to be a leader amongst team-members, display
The desire of serving in the military was deeply rooted in my younger self. At the age of fourteen, I immigrated into the U.S. to reunite with my father. Thanks for the governmental funds toward low socioeconomic families, I am beyond grateful for receiving food stamps, obtaining student loans, and getting work-study benefits for
My primary reason for wanting to attend West Point Military Academy and serve as an active duty U.S. Army officer is to become the best version of myself that I can possibly be and to further hone my innate abilities and unique skill set to serve my country to the best of my ability, and help make the world a better place both on and off the battlefield.
