I believe I should be chosen to participate in Delta's program because I've always been fascinated by aviation. Being a pilot has always been in my mind as a career choose, as I've flown a lot in my life, all across the world in fact. I've flown to Rome, Mexico, Hawaii, and countless other destinations. And every time I travel via a plane to anywhere, I always wonder, what would it be like to pilot this plane? Is it complicated? Is it easy? What do all the buttons do? This curiosity led me to experiment with countless flight simulators, although none of them were realistic enough, and none of them satiated my interest in piloting. I wasn't particularly skilled in any of the flight simulation games I attempted, I did find them quite enjoyable. The thrill of finally pulling off a successful plane landing (even in a virtual world) ... is indescribable, especially after a multitude of failed attempts. I hope to have a similar experience with Delta's more realistic simulation, and possibly in real life one day. My mother works for Delta and has led my interest in this field since I was very young. In 6th grade, she helped me write an essay regarding Bessie Coleman and this year she allowed me to job shadow one of her Mangers, Mr. Kolanowski …show more content…
Participating in such a program would look impressive on a resume or a college application, but even if I choose not to become a pilot this program provides lifelong lessons and traits for all those that participate. Examples being; Teamwork, intuition, communication, all of which are extremely vital in any workplace environment, and are even helpful in day-to-day interactions and activities. Not to mention, learning the basics of aviation has proven valuable to the average flyer. Mark Zusak’s tone is evident towards several themes and subjects through his usage of diction, syntax, detail, and imagery. In this passage, his tone towards the death of the residents on Himmel Street is blunt.“In short, Himmel Street was flattened” conveys his frank feeling towards the numerous amounts of death. Zusak has been foreshadowing this ending from the perspective of Death throughout the novel. He describes the bombing of Liesel’s street through Death; his own tone is seen with his description of each death on Himmel Street. These short declarative sentences depict how Zusak is processing every death. He deliberately names all the people that she loved and cared about as if saying it out loud makes it a reality. They are slowly

Waking up on a daily basis and making real of what i have to face is my motivation. Living with a family who neglected me and not getting help when I needed it the most are some reasons that have never stopped me achieving my goals in life. My father would punish my siblings and me by making us go days without eating. There were times were I was too weak to even go to school. On the other hand, extracurricular activities have always been a part of what made me feel like I had a family. Being part of a team means that people are there to support and encourage, even if a person has history with another. I believe I deserve this scholarship because I wake up everyday facing good or bad, negative or positive in the world. I am a high achieving

In looking at the criteria for this essay it has taken me quite a while to think about how I should answer these questions. I thought to myself I could write a book which would be completely inappropriate for this essay! So I have tried to put a lot of consideration into the length of this essay!
I made reference to all these things to show just how Delta Airline has changed and grown into one of the largest American airlines in the United States. They started in agriculture and expanded to carrying passengers and aiding in the war. Delta Airlines has a history unbeknownst to most. Their headquarters is currently located on the corporate campus of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta

I am interested in accompanying the astronauts on their next mission to space. Ever since I was young, I have asked myself lots of questions about why the universe is like what it is like. Over time some of those questions have been answered, some of the answers lead to more questions, and some of those questions still remain a mystery. Going up into space will be a great opportunity for me do find out more about the many things that have pondered in my mind. This is why going into space would be a great experience for a responsible, intelligent, and hardworking student.
I deserve this scholarship because I’m a strong female role model, dedicated to God, school, family and friends, along with my work. I intern at the Sigourney Elementary School where I work with different grades. I feel privileged to work with the younger kids who look up to me as a role model. My relationship with God is very strong, and I try to share that with those around me. I’m hardworking during school and work. I do my best to keep up with my grades, and always stay on top of my homework. I take my schoolwork very seriously, and want to get in as much learning as I can. At one point I was taking nine classes compared to the normal seven period day. I work two jobs now, and can always be counted on to cover hours for those who are sick or can’t come in. I’m active in different organizations in school and am a team player. I’ve shown leadership skills through my years as a Girl Scout since Kindergarten, along with helping inspire the younger girls. These are just a few of the reasons I believe I would be a worthy candidate for the PEO scholarship.
Delta’s road to operational success has been a journey for the company; ever-changing and consistently moving forward. Through trails and reevaluation,
Flight simulation for me is a state of mind. While recently flying, on an extended kind of round robin flight around England, using Orbx scenery on top of the other Orbx layers, from somewhere in the westerly side of the map to my Chester destination, listenning to Neil Young’s music streaming – from his recent opened Neil Young Archives – I thought it was time to write something about the freedom flight simulators give us, and why I believe those refusing to explore some of the options available are not having as much fun as they could.
