This is a paper about me and my goals for my future and why I came to Penta. There are many reasons why I came to Penta. The main reason I came to Penta was to get a head start on my future for welding. I came to Penta because of the technology and all the nice equipment in all the labs. I came into the welding program because I really enjoy it and there is lots of money to be made. Another reason why I went into welding is that i have a good paying job lined up because of my brother. I have many personal goals set for when I graduate. The most important goal of mine is to be well educated on everything about welding. Another important goal is to be able to read blueprints and be able to do the math involved with blueprints. There
I have also learned about the different types of welding, certifications you can earn, and what some career options there are for welders. There are several different types of welding some of them are Gas Metal Arc (MIG),Gas Tungsten Arc (TIG),Shielding Metal Arc (Stick), and Flux Cored welding.A few types of welding certifications are Certified Welding Engineer that is where they contract documents, buildings, or jurisdiction laws may require technical services to be performed under a certified engineer. There is Certified Robotic Arc Welding that is where it allows welding personnel in various sectors to measure themselves against standards for their occupation, and there is a Certified Welding Supervisor who
I have chose to go to WCCC for a welding certificate after high school because I am undecided on where I want to go for a diesel program. I do not want to wait and not get any education after high school because I know I will not want to go back to school at all for a diesel program. You will never regret going to school to get your welding certificate. Even though welding is not what I want to do for a career employers like seeing
The Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium Restoration project, it is one restoration project of many in the state of North Carolina that make up the North Carolina coastal restoration project responsible for the restoration of the 301 miles that make up the North Carolina coastlines. I have chosen this particular project because it is close to me; I worked an internship for my high school senior research project at the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and worked closely with the rehabilitation of the endangered Loggerhead sea turtle. This ecosystem needed to be restored because of the effects of the Hurricane Irene in 2011, and the Longshore current. This current is responsible for eroding the coastline, moving north to south in a quick process that migrates inlets
Remember, remember, the fifth of November; we all know the rhyme but how well do we really know the story? In the essay I will explore how the plotters were punished and why they were punished so severely.
I decided early on in High School that my goal was to attend college for a degree in aerospace engineering, moving on to work as an engineer or technician working on and designing aircraft. When I was very young,
As we prepare to finish highschool and make a life of our own we must face the daunting task of what we plan to do for a career. In making this decision I personally put hours of research into many factors like education, salary, and availability. This involved cross referencing a multitude of different sources which often offered varying information, and interviewing and experienced Certified Pipeline Welding Inspector. If I were to go through with my dream of being a Certified Pipeline Welding Inspector I would have to overcome a limited local job market, inconvenient hours, and an unpredictable schedule, but I would also see benefits like a high starting salary, an ideal environment for me, favorable education standards, and potential
By including outsiders (not in school district), the school will be more inclusive and have a better chance of staying ahead of the curve in new welding technology. Curriculum could also see improvements by adding an internship component. The internship would give the student a “real world” sense of what welding is like and helps student gauge what they are getting into. Finally, welding curriculum needs to have more involvement with the community, where the college engages with people who need help welding broken things or even create new things. Projects like these will help students grow with their skills and help the college grow in the
NJIT is a prior choice of mine to attend. New Jersey Institute of Technology appeals me the most for the programs, classes, and aides they offer to the students. Attending the open-house for the first time I had no regrets at all, instead it was spectacular. The environment and atmosphere there truly grand. From this exposure NJIT is a top choice for it truly gave me goal and for what I can give as a pupil. My gifts and talents will be put into a great aspect in class and as a student for
Although there are many career choices out there in the world I would love to be in the career in welding for multiple reasons. I chose this career because i love the fact that there's multiple different types of welding positions, and it's a great trade to meet new people and work hard in.i decided on this career because i have had experienced with some welding and i enjoyed it. i even researched some different techniques you can use to weld different types of metal. There are specific personality types or skills required for this career. some are interpersonal skills such as being self motivated. Also having a skill of problem solving will help to. “Math and science skills are used daily for welders because they have
Welding is the process of joining pieces of metal or other parts by heating the surfaces to the point of melting using a blow torch, electric arc, or other means. This careers demand has skyrocketed in recent years. According to Tri-County Technical College, welding is ranked as one of the top ten fastest growing career fields in South Carolina by the US Department of Labor (“Welding Associate's Degree”). Welding is a very meticulous career, to be a welder you have to be focused, careful and you have to have an extensive knowledge of the field to be successful. Welding requires a variety of skill sets. If a person has a variety of skills and experience doors will open up for positions such as: shipbuilding, automotive repair, and construction.
A job in the blazing hot sun doesn't seem like the best job in the world to some but with welding it has its pros. After comparing Texas State Technical College, Texas State University of San Marcos, and Northwest Louisiana Technical College based on my criteria of work ethic, hands on work, and being close to home would be the best choice in helping pursue a career in welding. Despite the work conditions not many people know what a career in welding requires.
The reason why I selected the Clinical Laboratory Technology Program: I felt if I need a change in my life and career. I knew this was a great opportunity for me to explore more in the medical laboratory science field. After, being a Phlebotomist for several years I just wanted to do more; such as, being more involved with the breakdown of the process of results. Phlebotomy is great but it’s a limit on how much you can and a great mind want’s to explore.
In order to become a world-class engineering student, I will have to expand my goals and prioritize them into categories of immediate, short-term and long-term goals. My immediate goals include completing assignments by their due date, reading the assigned material before it is discussed in class and being fully prepared to face the next day of classes. Short-term goals include doing well in each of my courses, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, and learning about the engineering profession by participating in student engineering societies. Long-term goals include graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within the engineering community as well as the general community.
The article “Carpentry program offers challenge to motivated students” inspires me the most compared to the article “Advice That Adds Insight to Injury”. The article clearly explains variety of works available for the graduates. It also gives a positive view to the readers who is still indecisive what type of program to enroll. Additionally, it emphasizes the program about what to learn and gain to enroll in carpentry. In fact, it gives an educational knowledge to the readers how the program works and the success they have had on their business.
I have literally known what I want to be since I was a toddler. Of course, as a three-year old putting together Legos, I could not have verbalized that I want to be a mechanical engineer. However, it was at that time that I began to develop and use the skills that I will need for my desired career. I began to consider how parts went together and the different components necessary to build and sustain various systems. Part of the inspiration was the simple fun that I had while putting together these small toys, but part of my inspiration was my father. He was a maintenance turn-around coordinator at an oil refinery, which led to my own desire to work as a mechanical engineer in a refinery one day. As I grew older, my interest in mechanical engineering remained constant, though I expanded my interest beyond the oil refineries. In fact, after attending a pre-college program, Jackling Introduction to Engineering, offered by Missouri Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri in the summer of 2011, I realized that engineering was the perfect way to exercise my curiosity and inventiveness in a constructive and productive manner.
