What do dogs, mice, cats, rats; monkeys, rabbit, and other animals have in common? One hundred million of dogs, mice, cats, rats, monkeys, rabbit, and other animals are mutilated and killed all over laboratories in the United States alone each year. It is both morally wrong ad well as wasteful of the resources put on this earth. Although people believe human lives are exceedingly superior to one of an animal, it is immoral and noncompulsory to test products, such as medication, on animals with the same feelings and instincts as us humans.
It is ethically unacceptable to treat animals as something less than living, breathing creatures. Like humans, animals have complex nervous systems with neurons that carry information from the body to cerebrum for interpretation; therefore "[animals] feel pain and fear just as we do, and their overwhelming

The need of animals for human experiments are no longer needed due to technological advances; tests such as in controlled microdosing, computerized drug trials, and vitro tests are scientifically proven to provide more accurate results than animal experimentation. There is an alternative to the entire animal-testing dilemma; some companies such as MAC and Revlon simply refuse to simply revolutionize the way their products are tested. There are other cosmetic empires such as Anastasia Beverly Hill and Too Faced that create the same products with the same great quality without testing their products on animals. Scientist have proven over and over again the different ways manufacturers can test their products without having to harm an animal; therefor the companies who still continue to test their products on animals are cheating themselves out of a better way of
Animal testing should not be used in cosmetic industries as a source of experimentation because it is unethical and inefficient. It is a cruel way of trying to find results that are not even always trustworthy. Everyone has a different reaction to different chemicals so why even bother animals for testing? Also different species can respond differently when exposed to the same chemical so animal testing can be inefficient. The results from animal tests can be quite variable and difficult to interpret therefore it may not be applicable to human beings. Thus, consumer safety still cannot be guaranteed even after these gruesome tests which are totally unethical. It is also unethical to torture and end the lives of these animals each year for our own luxury. Everyday cosmetic industries are using defenseless animals very cruelly just to carry out some most often useless tests. Instead they should use other alternatives which has been proved to yield better and accurate results than tests involving animals.
Scientists experiment their work on animals, most of the beauty products on the market were proved on animals, this is creating growing concern. This is a controversial argument, because man doesn’t have any rights to test medicines and cosmetic products on animals, but at the same time animals are essential for the
Firstly, during all the experiments, animal are deprived from food, their DNA is mutated, their brain is damaged, and in the end, they are murdered in many gruesome ways: poisoning, lethal injection, suffocating, etc. Each year, approximately 100 million animals in these kinds of experiments die just in the USA. It is an enormous and fascinating number. The major problem of this entire testing is that 94% of them fail. Thus, all of the animals’ lives are just wasted. It is quite shocking that nobody is taking any proper actions regarding this issue. Also, it is certain that animals also have a conscience, emotions and feelings like human. Experiencing this kind of suffering and agonizing pain would be unimaginable for any person. However, because it is an animal and it doesn’t have a lingual ability, the inflicting pain is acceptable and tolerable. It
Each year, more than 100 million animals are killed in U.S. laboratories as a result. It is absolutely unethical, because we can argue that animals have lives of their own, whether it involves conscious thinking or not. (1, 2) Research says some animals possess the ability to feel emotions such as sadness and fear. If we would not drill holes in a person’s head, make them inhale toxic fumes, immobilize them with restraint devices, burn the skin or crush their spinal cord, why should we have the say in doing it to rats, mice, frogs, cats,
Revlon and Avon then stopped animal testing. Animal testing will always be debated because cosmetic companies need to test their products before selling them to guarantee they aren't harmful. Animals are most likely their easiest resource to test because testing on humans isn't realistic and more issues would arise. These scientists are more worried about the brand rather than the animals they might be
Many of the cosmetics that we use every day have also been tested on animals. The number of animals used for cosmetic testing has been greatly reduced as the potential hazards have been eliminated. Products such as sunscreens, anti-dandruff shampoos, fluoride toothpaste, and anti-acne creams could not have been proven safe without the use of animal testing since they contain ingredients that cause a chemical change in the body that could be harmful, even deadly. Without these safety tests, it would be impossible to ensure that these products are safe.
The process of using animals for cosmetic products is unnecessary and cruel. We already have many of the same cosmetic products. Such as shampoos, hairsprays, deodorants, toothpastes, and mascaras. Do we really need more of these products if it results in the death of innocent animal? There are many brands that do not test on animals. Many of these brands being very popular in this generation, for example Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, MAC, and Urban Decay. Why can't we be satisfied with the products we have now?
Introduction, animals that are being tested safety of their products that’s been a subject of an intense debate for over 10 years. While, a lot of people that alleged animals, the remained animals are being subjugated by the research cosmetics companies all over the country/all over the world. Even though, the scientists frequently profit from animal research, I don’t think all the suffering, the pain, and the animals dying are worth just trying find out the human benefits from the products.
Animal testing has been a controversial topic discussed by many people over the past decade. There are many organizations that are trying to ban the use of animal testing because of the cruelty us humans are doing to innocent animals and the pain and suffering these animals go through. The first organization I found when researching was PETA (People, Ethical, Treatment, Animals). From my research, this is the largest animal rights group founded so far. Their main office is in Norfolk, VA. They are not only fighting animal testing but animals for the use of food, clothing and entertainment. This organization has donated over a million dollars to find non-animal testing methods. Another organization I found was PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine).
Each year, thousands of animals are brutally tortured in laboratories, in the name of cosmetic research. A movement to ban animal testing for cosmetic purposes has been gaining popularity, with many companies hopping on the bandwagon against this research. New alternatives have been developed to eliminate the necessity to test on animals. This is only a small beginning of what is necessary to end these immoral acts. Animal testing in cosmetics is useless and cruel, and can be accomplished by other methods of research to end the suffering of animals.
Everyday cosmetic products that many people use, such as lipsticks, shampoo, face wash, etcetera, are verified to be safe using animal testing. Chemical burns and other short term ailments are very serious concerns that plague Americans and the knowledge that the products they use will not harm them and their families is possible because of animal testing. Also long term effects, such as cancer, have been discovered through animal product testing and promptly stopped saving countless lives. “NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS YOU’RE THE GUINEA PIG” (Source C). Living day to day with the risk that the products trusted to use on your children and yourself is enough to validate
One of the leading industries in the United States is the cosmetics business. When cosmetics started up people were applying all different types of product to their bodies. While using the products, people were starting to acquire serious injuries to their skin and hair. This forced make-up producers to figure out a way to test the products before it hit the market. In the 1940s, scientists started to use animals for testing purposes. In recent years, testing on animals has decreased because producers use safer ingredients in their products. Even though there are safe ingredients, people continue to experiment with new chemicals and dyes. To avoid major lawsuits, companies still experiment on animals to prove the product is safe. With all these new products, the Food and Drug
Millions of animals every year are being used in labs to test cosmetics. This problem has become a worldwide issue and the U.S. needs to make a change by prohibiting the use of animals in testing cosmetics for safe use.
Much progress has been made to end this testing, gearing the world into the right direction of animal testing free procedures, though, not everyone is on board. The United States have yet to hop onto the train toward a free animal testing future. The United States continues to test on animals for cosmetics even though there are numerous ways to test, without using animals, that are more efficient and effective than animal testing. (3D tissue samples of corneas made from human cells can be used instead of using an animal organ when testing for cosmetics side effects.) What is worse than the United States still testing on animals, is that there is continued demand for even more animal
Today, millions of animals are being tested for human products, causing many to fall ill with disease and having no choice but to be experimented on. Animal Experimentation should be banned throughout the United States and other Countries. Animal Experimentation is a cruel and inhuman method of research, but would opponents prefer it is a necessary evil to experiment on animals?
