I have always loved to bake, the first thing I ever made were rainbow cupcakes when I was in the 6th grade. When I first started baking, I would always use a regular hand whisk, I never had the desire to buy a fancy expensive electric mixer until one day I wanted to make a angel food cake for my mom’s birthday. I had made it once before in my homect class and I knew that an angel food cake with a whipped cream topping needed a lot of air incorporated into it for it to rise. I also knew that if I tried to beat the batter and the whipped cream by hand, I would probably get carpal tunnel. I decided to go to Target and I came across the hamilton beach hand mixer. There were many different hand mixers by many different companies but what intrigued
Serbian poet, Dejan Stojanovic, once stated, “Devil and God – two sides of the same face.” When looking at Chicago during the Columbian Exposition, there were two sides of Chicago known as the white city and the black city. The white city was the fairgrounds where the World Fair occurred. The black city, however, is the rest of Chicago where the crime, poverty, disease, and filth was represented. Erik Larson constructs the black and white city in Devil in the White City by incorporating figurative language, imagery, and juxtaposition.
Next, I would love to go to culinary school after high school. In college, I want to be able to show vegetarianism through food and show how delicious and creative it can be. After college I want to hopefully work in vegetarian restaurants and hopefully run my own restaurant one day. I would love to have a vegan southern barbeque restaurant that incorporates everyone’s favorite comfort foods. My “perfect” life in five years is honestly being able to become a great chef and work at amazing restaurants because I consider the kitchen my second home and there’s no place I rather be.
The drug I’m doing is bathsalt. Bath salt was created in France in 1929. The drug was used for potential medicine. The negative effect of it is it will make you have chest pain. Everybody knows that The more you take it the higher the chance of you getting segures. This drug is a big impact to life. This drug can lead to serious life problems. It could even kill you. Those are just some there is more to be found.
An electric mixer- to beat the cream cheese and sour cream together, creating a smooth base for the dip.
Ever since I was little, I enjoyed being in the kitchen with my mom, dad and other family members. As long as I can remember, I was always there, trying to help out in whatever I could and what my family members would let me. When I was eight, I baked my first batch of chocolate chip cookies and ever since then I developed a passion and dedication for baking that has helped to teach many
Food processor - I have two food processors that I always use. A 3-cup KitchenAid Chef's Chopper and the 14-cup Cuisinart Custom 14 food processor. Both of them get equal use, but for very different things. I love to make peanut butter and hummus with the large one, and sauces, dressings, and bread crumbs with the small one. Both machines are
My baking skills hace increased after making a tripl bach of "moist devil's food cake",which filled up all the cake pans. While making it I used the Boch ,and the largest Vatsa bowl and made a mess in the process.
One of the best gifts my husband ever bought me was a KitchenAid Pro Series 600 stand mixer. He knew I wanted one but wouldn’t spend the nearly $600 on myself. He researched all the brands and models and settled on one. KitchenAid mixers are excellent to have because of their superior durability, multiple available attachments, time saving ability, and aesthetic appeal. After two years of heavy use I can definitely say it was an exceptional purchase.
This was for many, the first time they had ever been allowed to do any baking by themselves. I remember quite vividly how independent I felt as I pulled my first half baked cake out of my purple and pink easy-bake oven. It was a proud moment for me, even though the food was inedible; I could not help but smile. I think the reason I felt so unconstrained at that instant was because at that age it was still considered dangerous to use an oven without an adult. This had been my first real taste of freedom. I know this is not the case for all women, but in that moment I could not wait to grow up and have my own family to feed. I do not contribute that urge to my easy-bake oven because it did not condition me to want that. I wanted that before I received my easy-bake oven for Christmas; the miniature oven just brought my feelings to life for the first time. I feel strongly that a woman can be a great homemaker as well as a professional in the
Commonly found in kitchens, the electric device blends and liquifies foods or drinks ("Blender"). The invention was first designed to make malts and milkshakes by Stephen J. Poplawski in 1922, who put a spinning blade at the bottom ("Blender":"Bellis, Mary"). The creator of the blender owned an electric company, Stevens Electric Company, from which he made the appliance ("Blender"). A drug store, who owned soda fountains, also used the blender to mix drinks. In 1932, ten years after the creation, Poplawski received patents for his invention ("Blender"). A few years later, Frederick Osius made adjustments, and he named it the Miracle Mixer. Later on, Osius renamed it again as the Waring Blendor after an investor, Fred Waring ("Blender":"Bellis, Mary"). The Waring Blendor was the first commercially successful blender to be on the market and sold in 1937 for $29.75. Eventually, John Oster bought Stevens Electric Company, and he also modified the blender. In 1946, the first Osterizer blender debuted, adding on to the revolutionizing of the blender ("Blender"). By 1954, 1 million Waring Blendors had been sold, and over the course of time, the name was changed from blendor to blender ("Blender"). Upon the invention of the blender, the device was utilized to make a vaccine for polio and used in hospitals for specific diets or scientific research ("Bellis, Mary"). The blender went from being a simple invention that made shakes to an essential item in a kitchen. A love for the blender is one of the many ways the concept of love can be described, but there are many more kinds and ways to love
While I believed my writing to be concise, yet thorough in the beginning of the semester, it became clear to me that that was not the case. When entering EN3414, I had no knowledge of critical theories or how to use secondary sources to enhance my argument instead of carry it. I believed my heavy sentence phrasing to be an asset instead of a way to bury my argument beneath long thoughts. In EN3414, I was able to focus on taking my papers straight to my argument, to avoid useless sources or let them lead the paper instead of letting my argument carry the essay. And because I have learned to revise and rewrite my papers as many times as possible before they are due, I can no acknowledge the parts of my essay that are too heavy or that need to be expanded upon. As I finish this course I feel my writing is clear and concise, stating an idea and following that argument throughout the paper.
5. As the Gantt diagram shows the electric mixer is not used for a long time within the process, so only one mixer is needed. Buying a new one will not increase the productivity of the process. The number of baking trays equals the maximum number of trays you will be using at any time. The highest volume of production is if three-dozen orders are produced continuously (s. Gantt diagram). The three activities that require a tray are filling the tray, baking and
Having the right kitchen tools can make the experience more enjoyable. The proper mixer is a worthwhile investment as it will make the baking experience much easier. The advantages to owning this type of kitchen equipment are worth the higher price. Mixing batters by hand or by using a hand held mixer may not always get the batter to the desired consistency. Good quality cake pans are equally important as they help to ensure that
There are many different reasons why people eat the food that they do. Food is what gives people the energy they need to function and can also provide comfort for some. The reasons why people eat differ from person to person, but some of the main reasons of focus will be the religious, social, economic, cultural, and media. Food has a big influence on our lives more than people may realize.
I am Taylor Sellers, an upcoming student at Jefferson State Community College. I want to attend Jefferson State Community College because of the outstanding state of the art culinary program. I have visited with other schools that have recommended and well respected culinary programs, but their programs do not even come close to comparing to this program. Also, Jefferson State has already created memories for me and have largely impacted my basic knowledge of culinary and the basic skills needed to start out in the industry. I have attended a weeklong culinary camp they hosted this past summer and I was able to learn basic skills that led up to us being able to prepare a three course meal to showcase for our families. I also have had the opportunity of joining the culinary explorers program and I have learned and I am still learning many valuable lessons not only skills needed in the kitchen but also with important character traits that are needed in every profession not just
