Why Did Grant Wiggins Want To Leave His Town

I think that Grant Wiggins hates his town a lot but also loves his town and does not want to leave his town. He has so many memories, people to care about, and duties to attend to in his town. He also has a lot of pride with the people that he has grown up with in Louisiana. He has basically lived his whole life in Louisiana, and basically if you have lived your whole life somewhere you are more likely to stay there. “I was seventeen then. I was not the youngest, nor surely the oldest” (Gaines 88). He had been doing things in Louisiana since he was very young.
