Why did the chicken cross the road? Why can’t we talk to our pets? Why do we dream? Every good question begins with the word why. Merriam-Webster defines why as “for what cause, reason, or purpose”, but to me, why has a much greater meaning. Why is the bridge from ignorance to knowledge; and because of this, why is my favorite word. Ever since I was young, I have always been called a “questioner” by my friends and family. I am constantly seeking out more information, and questioning the very world we live in. Some questions can be researched and answered, like “why is the sky blue?”. Conversely, some questions may never have a definitive answer, like “why do we exist?” That is the beauty of why, it can lead to hours of research, hours of

If you sure for something, so you can do it to earn the achievement. Besides that, the author tells that be yourself, do not listen or follow to someone to do something that you don't certainly. You feel that way is good
In some words the overall summary of When Chickenheads Come Home to Roost, by Joan Morgan is a collective of multiple forms of literature detailing a wide range of the issues that African American women face today. Joan Morgan is a feminist who caters to addressing the modern issues within the world. In other words she defines the feminism she addresses as "Hip-hop Feminism". Within the book the author seems to take a neutral or dual sided approach to feminism. She states that black women have been defined by their men, but also states that the concept of a "strong black woman" is a myth. She takes up the issue of how rap has inherently mysoginistic lyrics, but how she would be lying if she did not find some appeal within the idea of Patriarchy
Chicken George and his family had lived on the plantation their entire life, and just like every other black person during that time all they wanted was to be free. And lucky for them the war finally ended and they were free. In their minds they thought; no more working on a plantation for racist, egotistical white folk. They could finally live the life they have been dreaming of before they were even born. One of their ancestors, Kunta Kinte, had passed on the remembrance of Africa from when he was a child before he was captured by the slave hunters and brought to America. Now that they were free they had this hope to start a new life but there was still people in the county that believed they should still be slaves. They claimed that they
Have you ever wondered “Why the chicken crossed the road”? Ask yourself was the “chicken” courageous and adventurous or innocent and uneducated of the dangers of what might happen to him? Some men lead by example and others fallow in anticipation of an unforeseen out-come. How many times have you asked yourself “Who am I: Am I a leader or a follower”? And do you and I benefit from the innovative leadership skill and mistakes of others.
This week’s reading topic is about the history of chickens. In the Smithsonian article “ How the Chicken Conquered the World” by Andrew Lawler and Jerry Adler, it discusses about how chickens have saved the Western civilization. According to the legend, the Athenian general Themistocles came across a cocks fight during his way to invade the Persians forces. In addition, history records that the Greeks repel the invaders and preserved the civilisation “honors the creatures by breading, frying and dipping them into one’s choice of sauce.” These creatures are known as the descendants of roosters.
Reading literature is always one of my favorite hobbies when I have a free time or have nothing to do. I absolutely love spending my times to read any kinds of literatures, such as romantic and fantasy novels for relaxing and escaping the real world to the imagination world. My last literature, excepted some text books, is The Decapitated Chicken and Other Stories that is written by Horacio Quiroga. There are composed of many short stories, but only two stories are mostly impressing me because they are about love. These two stories, “The Decapitated Chicken” and “The Feather Pillow,” have the same theme; they are about love. They do not only give me an enjoyment, but they also give me consideration points about a family and loves. Both “The

Betrayal and loneliness are two of the hardest emotions to encounter in life. Nevertheless, at some point everyone will experience and be forced to deal with them. This is made even harder when they are caused by someone you love and trust. In Meredith Hall’s “Killing Chickens”, she uses various literary devices such as metaphor, simile, and imagery as she processes her husband’s affair and describes having to kill chickens. Hall’s literary nonfiction is based on the happenings of a specific day that was truly hard to handle after being deceived by ones she loved:
Have you ever been driving in a car with a child who asked a million questions starting with “why”? Regardless of how well you think you answered their question, they will ask why the answer to that question is what it is, and so on and so forth. This is characteristic of all human beings; children just are not as restrained and willing to ask whatever questions comes to their minds, while adults are more inclined to accept the first level answer and question it no further. However in the back of our minds we all want to know the truth, and we will eventually conjure up a reason why what we accept as truth, in fact, the truth. Two very prominent philosophers, René Descartes, and William James were concerned with truth and how people come to believe and accept something as true or false. They believed that there is a very definite truth, but they mapped out different routes in order to get to the place where truth could be found.
Few months after her second husband died she told the narrator that they were going for a ride in the car. He recalls what Chicken Man said he knew that he was right. He didn't want to spend his life working at a gas station. He started praying to God to make him stronger. He listened and he began to change. The mom drove crazy and after that she told herself that she wasn't going to ride a car ever again.
What came first the chicken or the egg? This has been a debated question for some time now. Some say the chicken came first, some say the egg came first, and others have no idea. In our opinion, the egg came before the chicken no matter how you look at it. Rather, you are religious, or you believe in science, the egg came before the chicken. In this research paper Mike and I will be explaining how we think the egg came before the chicken from a religious point of view and a scientific point of view.
Recently, researchers at Harvard have just revealed the real reason "Why". For the sake of clarity, Harvard researchers have solved the answer to every question 'Why'.
