Firstly, passion helps me succeed in playing basketball. These rulings passions can lead to deteriorating relationships due to extreme measures one takes in order to reach their desired success; self-destruction caused by one’s absence of mind while taking unperceptive decisions; and one’s passion causing one to lose the sense of reality. Passion is defined as a strong and barely controllable emotion. Every individual is born with some form of this. For me, I always considered myself a very passionate person. It was not until reading Chapter 12: Passion in John C. Maxwell’s book The 21 Indispensable Qualities of A Leader did it occur to me that having great passion does not directly correlate to being a great leader. With passion comes a sense of pride.
