Who’s to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death? Was it the long rivalry of Montague and Capulet? Was it the pressure of Juliet parents to marry a man she didn't love? Some people even say the Nurse is to blame for their death.Well this is my response for their “tragic” death. The first person I think that is responsible for their death is Capulet. Capulet was so strict and only thought on what was best for Capulet and not what was best for Juliet. He didn't give a thought on how she felt and forced on her to marry Paris or be a disgrace to the family. That’s a lot of pressure for an teenager. This can be a minor reason Juliet committed suicide.Act 3, Scene 5 Capulet says “I tell thee what, get thee to church o’ Thursday, or never after look me in the face:Speak not, reply not, do not answer me.” We all know that Capulet is just trying to be a good father and do the best for his daughter but she doesn't know that she is “in love” with a person she can't have and her father is going to hate her if she doesn't marry Paris.Since Juliet never got to be an teenager because her parents was always controlling her she think she …show more content…
She believed that the tradition of arranged marriage was correct and it should be arranged by the parents. Her view of love was so strong that she didn't care or didn't even ask about Juliet feelings. In the play Lady Capulet seem heartless and mean to Juliet. In act 1 ,scene 3 Lady Capulet talks about how she was a mother around Juliet age and women are married around Juliet age. Also in act 3 ,scene 5 it says “Talk not to me, for I’ll not speak a word: Do as thou wilt, for I have done with thee” Instead of asking her why she didn't want to marry a Paris and how she felt, she just told her to not speak to her. If Lady Capulet was a better mother Juliet probably wouldn't kill
Everyone has their different opinions on who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is about two people that fall in love from two different families who are in a feud with each other. Lord Capulet is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because when Romeo was at the Capulet part he didn’t let Tybalt do anything to make Romeo leave. Reason two is he is the one that planned for Juliet to get married to Paris without her consent. The third reason is because after Juliet says okay to marrying Paris (going along with the Friar’s plan), Lord Capulet tries moving the wedding day up to Wednesday instead of Thursday.
Romeo and Juliet are led to suicide by a large number of people. They are a pair of teenagers that are apart of two powerful households that are at conflict with each other. At the beginning of the play Romeo is in love with a fellow noble named Rosaline. Eventually, Rosaline does not love Romeo back and he begins to look for love again at the behest of Mercutio. There he finds Juliet at the party that is being held by Lord Capulet. Over the next four days their "love" escalates and it leads to the death of the couple, along with four others. Who is to blame for the deaths of these young lovers? Everybody in the play contributes to Romeo and Juliet's deaths, but it is mainly because of, in my opinion, Balthasar, Mercutio, and Friar Lawrence.
The deaths of the two lovers Romeo and Juliet were unnecessary and could have been avoided in many ways. The main person that is to blame for their deaths is Friar Lawrence. The Friar was an outsider looking into the family feud thinking it was ridiculous for the two lovers to not be able to be together. He underestimated the seriousness of this family feud and overestimated in Romeo and Juliet and neither were mature enough to go through with his complex plan. The Friar is the person most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because, he was the one who gave Juliet the sleeping potion as part of his plan to fake her death, he conducted the awful plan to fake Juliet’s death, and followed through with the plan without properly informing
Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet take some of the blame for Romeo and Juliet's death, but there fate takes most of the blame for their death. Fate takes the blame because he gave them the fate that they would meet and die and they could not change their fate. There might be other people or characters that take the blame for their death, but fate is the reason why they died.("DBQ: Romeo and Juliet: Who's to Blame". Doc.
To me, a lot of people are to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death. In my opinion though, Capulet is the one to blame. His poor decision making ultimately lead to Romeo and Juliet’s death. Capulet is to blame because he made a lot of mistakes. First off, he basically forced Juliet to marry the county Paris because he thought that Paris was the best match for Juliet.
Do you wonder who is at fault for Romeo and Juliet’s death? It would be easy to blame Friar John and Friar Laurence for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths because of their miscommunication in sending the letter to Romeo. Perhaps it’s easy to blame their parents for their hatred of each other. Romeo and Juliet felt that they could not express their love for one another to their parents in fear of getting disowned or hated. However, despite all of these possible declarations, Romeo Montague is actually the one to blame for the deaths of himself and Juliet Capulet.
Who was actually at fault for Romeo and Juliet’s death? Lord & Lady Capulet are to blame for their death. They did not let Juliet choose who she wanted to love. They were going to marry someone she barely knew and didn’t love, which made her have suicidal thoughts. Lord & Lady Capulet tells Juliet she loves whoever she wants, but when Juliet says she doesn’t want to marry Paris, it backfires.
Who is to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death? Lady and Lord Capulet are to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death. They kept Juliet hidden from the outside world and gave her limited choices on things. Juliet was being forced into marrying Paris, which she didn't want to do. Lord Capulet was also very aggressive with Juliet, threatening to disown her, and making her feel like she had to hide who she was truly with.
Romeo and Juliet : Who's to Blame ? Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a story of tragedy. Romeo and Juliet fell in love knowing their families were enemies . Regardless they continued their plans which lead them to a tragedy .
This even included them taking their own lives to be with each other. But in reality, who was to blame for their tragic endings? It is told that many people played a part in their deaths, but the main people who contributed were Friar Laurence, Romeo, and Juliet. To begin with, Friar Laurence seemed to have the most effect on the death of Romeo and Juliet. He was the one who helped the two be together.
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a book of fate and how everyone in the world affects the happenings of this world. The author of this extraordinary book is William Shakespeare. Although Romeo and Juliet killed themselves, there were many people responsible for their deaths. It is arguable that the parents of the two lovers, Friar Laurence, and Romeo and Juliet themselves were the most responsible, some could say that the other main characters like Mercutio, Benvolio, Tybalt, the Nurse, and Paris were involved as well. There were many people responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, although they took their own lives, they were not all to blame.
Romeo and Juliet was one of Shakespeare most talked about pieces. The death of Romeo and Juliet’s was the most controversial part of the story. Many have no clue for who it is to blame for their deaths. However, Ix believe that Lady & Lord Capulet are to be blamed for their deaths. The reasoning behind that would be because her mother was isolated from juliet, she had a different perspective on love, and the Lord capulet was
The ideas of what made4 Lord Capulet a good father, changed throughout the story. First, Lord Capulet threatens Juliet when she refuses to marry Paris. In the text on page 162 it stated, “I thee what get thee to church a Thursday or never after look me in the face.” Second, “Thursday is near; lay hand on heart, advise: An you be mine, I’ll give you to my friend; And you be not, hang, beg, starve, die in the streets, For by my soul, I’ll never acknowledge thee.” Based on what is read on pages 165 and 166, Lord Capulet is telling Juliet if she doesn’t marry Paris, he will let her beg, starve, and die in the streets. Then Juliet says that she would rather die than to marry Paris, on page 168. For example on page 168 the author states, “If all else fail, myself have power to die”. Therefore, because of the way Lord Capulet treated his daughter, she felt that she had no other choice but to fake her own death.
I also think Capulet and lady capulet are to blame as well. This is because he had arranged for Juliet to get married to Paris who was nothing alike Juliet. If the father of Juliet would of just listened to her, but instead Capulet ignored Juliet and took decisions into his own hands when its Juliet’s marriage. That is why I thinkCapulet is the reason for the death. Lady Capulet and capulet could also if they had just listened to there daughter instead of thinking about themeselfs, then everything would have gone to plan. Lady Capulet and capulet is too busy worrying about there selves , and they are acting like they have no time for Juliet.
