Missy decided to make a hoax that her cousin was actually her twin and when people saw them everyone believed it. For the hoax, she went on the schools news, which is a video that got released to the public and YouTube and the whole public saw it and believed it. At this time Missy and Claire were getting suspicious about if they adopted and had the pressure of their friends telling them they looked exactly same, then until the middle of the book when Genevieve comes into play. When Genevieve was in school one day her friend showed her the video she was in shock. How could they look just like me? Was I adopted? Whats going on? Genevieve was asking herself these questions for a week, then she decided to contact them. Genevieve called the school they told her that it was all a hoax that Claire and Missy were just cousins, but, she knew that could not have been true because she looked just like them as well. Genevieve then sent them a friend request on Facebook, Clarie did not want to change so she did not accept it and Missy thought it would be cool to meet her so Missy got in contact. When Tessa gets in town she has to go to the Greenwoods house to stay because they are like family. Maggie gets Tessa up the next morning to go see her dad, When they get there the girl at the front desk said he passed away last night. The next plot element is when Tessa hears from Maggie that four girls got kidnapped, then killed, and dumped on the road I-70 by the Ohio river, that made Tessa think about the night in the greenwoods old home.

These multiple narrators contribute to help the reader understand each main character from different perspectives and show how and why things happened the way they did. Bailey also uses both a prologue and an epilogue to contribute to the richness of the story, which is a style quite common in the ancient Greek plays. In the prologue, Susan Hazen, Kevin’s mother, tells the reader in retrospect about the morning of the hunt and forewarns the reader of the tragedy that is to come (7). After reading the prologue we know that something horrible will happen, but Bailey leaves us wondering what the tragedy will be. Bailey also incorporates an Epilogue to bring closure to one of the characters.

It could be difficult to follow for some in the beginning if you didn’t know that there was two narrators. After figuring that information out it made reading the text much easier for people. In a way it may have helped readers if they decided to reread the story and see if there were any details that they missed the first time. Especially because there is so much going on and this book is so fast paced, it was sometimes hard to keep up with what was going on. Trying to figure out Nanapushe’s point of view and what he was trying to say and how he was trying to save his land.
