For me, the most important thing a company should focus on their website is the “you attitude”. If it is done correctly and clear, the customers will continue to be attracted to visiting the website and using that company. If it is flat out incorrect and not use effectively, the website and company will suffer. If the audience does not feel like their needs are being aided or feel like they are not important to the company, they will simply stop visiting the website and company. The company I decided to analyze for my assignment is Whataburger. The website’s “you view” is a very customer friendly and inviting. The reasons that make me believe that is that the website uses keywords like “you” and other positive words that lets the reader know …show more content…
If you are looking to maybe get a job with Whataburger, on the career tab the first thing you notice is the title that says “Do work that makes you proud”. Before they even talk about the company, they are already appealing to the potential applicant’s ego. They also use positive words and capitalize them to attract the reader to them. The combination of these things makes the reader unknowingly feel welcomed and attentive. Throughout their website, they have multiple ways a customer can communicate with them and interact with other customers as well. In their food tab, they show some of the latest Facebook’s post and tweets of customers in a section called “From the Fans”. This lets the customers know they care about their opinion and value it. They also have a survey tab that lets the customers file any complaints or positive thoughts about their experience at their local Whataburger. Other interactions they have available are a brief history of the company and a community tab. The community tab is great because they showcase past donations and ways they have helped the communities and also gives the option to apply for aid. This makes the visitor know that Whataburger does care about them. All throughout the website Whataburger’s message and information are very clear and direct. They keep their writing short and to the point. They do not make the reader feel lost or
In his thought-provoking book, Fast Food Nation, Eric Schlosser argues that America's fast food franchises have played a major role in contributing to the obesity and ill health of Americans. This paper shows how Schlosser argues that fast food has contributed to uncontrolled development, negatively impacted American culture, and have had a largely negative impact. The effects of Fast Food Nation on American society and politics show that Schlosser's thesis is largely convincing, due to both his careful analysis and his powerful and effective writing style. The paper shows that the book makes the reader challenge many long-held convictions about the fast food industry in America and worldwide.
Treat our customers with sincerity, kindness, and respect, and think of new ways to impress, delight, and surprise them.
Chicken! Chicken! Chicken! Southerners are crazy about it! Chicken is an iconic meal, from grandma 's kitchen to fast food restaurants. Sometimes grandma 's home cooked chicken is not always readily available, so what is the next best option? This is my review of two very popular fast food chains, the main item on each menu is none other than chicken. These two restaurants go by the name Chick-fil-A and Zaxby 's. Chick-fil-A has a bit of an interesting story, with the franchise being very comfortable with the Christian faith. Because of this, all locations are closed on Sundays and holidays. Information from their website shows that Chick-fil-A cares for its community and is involved in several fundraisers for churches and schools. Zaxby 's observes normal hours and does not really take part in community events. I visited the Chick-fil-A over on Harris Lane in Bessemer, Alabama at around noon. This Chick-fil-A just opened a few years back and has been very popular since. On a different occasion, I visited the Zaxby 's just a few miles down the road from Chick-fil- A, located on Academy Drive. The website describes Zaxby 's as a “chain eatery serving up fried chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, and other American comfort eats”. These two competitors offer very similar menu options, but completely different environments. Although Chick-fil-A has better customer service, Zaxby 's has tastier food and an overall better ambiance.
The industry concentration is low. The top four players in the Fast Food Restaurants industry are expected to account for 31.6% of available market share, giving this industry a low level of concentration. Given the diversity of food styles and operations, nearly 48.0% of establishments are small-business operators that have nine or fewer employees. An additional 55.0% of establishments have between 10 and 99 employees. Over time, the industry's concentration has decreased. As many of the older stalwarts lose ground to up-and-coming concepts, such as smaller chains like Chick-fil-A, as well as fast-casual concepts such as Shake Shack, are gaining ground, as sales have faltered for larger competitors. Over the past five years, there has been
The high sales growth can be attributed to increasing SSS (same store sales) and also opening of new stores. The company is enjoying financial growth and high profitability as seen from ROS, ROA and ROE. All the ratios are showing an average upward trend and that too, over a period of several years. As far as liquidity is concerned, the company is extremely liquid and is enjoying a quick ratio of more than 2. So, it is able to easily meet its short term debt obligations and currently faces no financial difficulties. As far as inventory is concerned it is a very small part of the liquidity and thus does have any significant effect on liquidity.
1. In what ways does Trader Joe’s demonstrate the importance of each responsibility in the management process-planning, organizing, leading, and controlling?
Businesses everywhere are having to deal with current trends in both products and services. Society today being very fast pace and demanding instant satisfaction with retailers and online service providers, there can be many complications that arise with different features we see in industries today. We see that consumers want large variety, fast check outs, and comforting environments as they shop throughout different types of stores. This is specifically true for grocery stores. According to their official website, Wegmans is a regional supermarket chain with over 90 stores catering the northern part of the east coast. This company possesses many assets, including over 47,000 employees, multi billion dollars in annual sales as of 2015, and is currently holding the 33rd position in the top 75 supermarkets based on sales volume. (Wegmans, 2016, para. 1) With such a large number of assets, there are a lot of moving parts to keep this company running effectively and efficiently. To understand how Wegmans has become so profitable in recent years, one must take a closer look at their operations management. With Wegmans
Today, an expanding number of shoppers are utilizing at least one types of online networking to interface with loved ones. They are sharing EVERYTHING that goes ahead in their life. Since it’s opening in 1962, Taco Bell is extremely innovative among leading them to rank fifth in QSR domestically. They overlooked the obvious when no one created the Dorito shell into a taco. Dr. Russell reminds us every class to not to forget to include the obvious items and Taco Bell beat their competitors to this niche. Management of the company incorporated focus groups to make sure they perfected this product before its launch. They went through a lot of trial and error. This is what all the leaders mean when they say practice makes perfect. What I view as the most important factors that have contributed to the growth of the company are innovation, ethics, and listening. They were built on innovation and they are continually modernizing to stay the best. Their company ethics exceed their competitors because what other company would
There is no doubt that the customer is king because without customer, there is no business. Today, brand can easily attract or lose customers. In today’s business world, social media is being discussed on a daily basis. This phenomenon has taken over the marketing and advertising industries and has changed the way they handle their efforts to attract customers. There is a big misunderstanding that social media are only popular networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, but as defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary, social media are “forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and micro blogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (as videos).” The rise of these online communities has given companies an opportunity to engage in conversations with their customers. This in
It's important to remember that the customer experience is a strategic issue, and not just an accumulation of tactics. In fact, it's the most strategic issue an e-business can work on. A dot-com's strategy should be directly based on the customer experience.
