The definition of a hero is not a simple dictionary definition. Heroism is a complex idea, but many people in history have been regarded as heroes. These great figures were honored by all, it is they who embody heroism. They made a large change for the better in our society. While this change is what made them stand out, all you need to be is one who helps and trusts others even if you have to sacrifice something for them.

To be a hero can can be defined in many ways. Heros are usually associated with courage, fearlessness, noble qualities, outstanding achievements, and a kind heart. These traits are what make up an ideal contributor to society helping those in need. The word hero can have a different meaning for cultures and religions. Osama Bin Laden may be considered a hero to the radical islams but he is a horrible human being to the rest of the world. It all depends on the views of the people.

I believe that a hero in the real world could be anybody, wether if you have saved someone's life vai choking, drowing, or you could be in the military and just fight for your country. So people who step out of their comfort zone just to help someone else is a hero. Someone who will give their own life for another is a hero.

There are many examples of heroes throughout history, some real and some fake. The news often broadcast stories of a seemingly normal bystander rescuing a victim from a burning building or overturned car. As a child, you might have read comic books depicting a muscular man in a cape flying around a city rescuing people from an evil villain. When most people hear the word “hero” they most likely image this very person. Whether real or fake, all these people share similar qualities and traits that lead to them being characterized as a hero.

There are many interpretations of what describes a hero and the actions they take. Whether it's selfless individuals that protect others against harmful entities or powerful figures in costumes that depict moral greatness and power fantasies, everyone has their own vision of what constitutes a hero. Like many of our own thoughts and opinions, these visions often stem from the environment and upbringing of the people that have them. A fantastic example of this aspect of our thoughts is the way George Orwell described a hero. He views a hero as someone who will do whatever they can to change social systems that lack respect for human decency, even if they know it is impossible to create such change.

A Hero is a person who would do anything to protect his people and not expect gratitude afterwards. A person who just does things for praise is not a true hero; they shouldn't expect anything in return. In my mind, the qualities someone would need to be a hero are loyal, kind, empathetic, strong, courageous, kind hearted, and brave. Who I think of as heroic are people that try to make good changes as much as they can, for instance people who try to fight pollution are kind hearted. Or even people who donate to countries in need are empathetic/courageous, in general people who go out of their way to solve world problems are a hero in my mind.

Do you know what it’s like to be a hero? A hero to you may be the superman in a comic book that saves the girl from the bad guy. Or a hero can be someone that fought for what they believed in. A hero can really just be the one main character in a story or in real life that makes an effort to make everything right and helps everyone. If you’ve ever met a hero like a soldier, a role model, or an important person in your life you know that a hero is one that is noble and does the right things to help others not only there selves.

For an individual to classify themselves as a hero they have to possess special qualities. These include courage, selflessness, humility, patience, and caring. Somebody could not claim that they are a hero if they were not courageous and eager to carry out any task. This goes along with selflessness because a hero should not base their tasks on personal achievement. A hero should never view themselves as more important than others. A hero needs to be patient with others and care about the surrounding people. This is most likely why heroes do what they do because they care for others. A hero to me is somebody who goes out of their way to help others for the better. There is no better definition of a hero than anyone who works for good and never turns their back on those in need.

Anyone who influences anyone else by saving or helping save his or her lives can be a hero. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. changed the lives of millions of people by bringing justice to minorities. Mahatma Gandhi, one of the greatest heroes, led a nonviolent revolution to free his country. Even a parent can be a hero to his or her child by leading them in the right direction. All teachers are heroes when they make it their job to teach a child anything that will help them in life. You don’t have to go to great lengths by risking your life to make a difference in someone else’s life.

“Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed.”- Bob Riley. Some people have a hard time defining what is and isn’t a hero. I believe a hero is someone who puts others before themselves because they would rather help others then help themselves.

When we think of heroes most of us think of movie stars or professional athletes, but it’s not always about your popularity or talent it can also be about how you help society. What I think make a great hero is someone who is able to overcome his or her obstacles in life, is highly motivated, and has plenty of bravery.

Many people who do not consider themselves heroes, but others may think them much more than that. People who just smile and say hi and change a life forever. Hero are not born. They're made - sculpted by the choices they make and the people in their lives. A hero is not some abstract being, some superhuman, with inhuman power, or a perfectly selfless and good person.

A hero, as defined in Webster’s Online Dictionary, is a person who “a person admired for achievements or noble qualities” or “one who shows great courage.” However, a hero is not just a person with outstanding achievements. A hero is a person who is philanthropic, generous, and kind. Heros fight for those who cannot fight for themselves, and do not judge those who they are fighting for. They are charitable in ways other than donating money, they give their time and effort in order to make the lives of others more pleasant. Heros display bravery, as they are willing to go into a dangerous situation to help others that have been aggrieved. Social pressures and judgements do not affect a hero’s willingness to help others, and they are willing to push through what others say
