Ancient China and the ancient world of Islam have paved the way for the rest of the world in regards to many things, one of which being art. Though these two worlds reside far from each other, their art is still similar in some ways. In China, the people have mastered the skills of calligraphy, ceramic pottery, painting, and of creation silk. In the world of Islam, the people have mastered the skills of calligraphy, ceramics, metalwork, and of creating carpets. Ancient Chinese calligraphy is similar to the Islamic worlds calligraphy because the symbolism around the practice was the same. The task of writing the script, even if the language differs, was considered a holy one. Even though the two countries created their pottery in a different
Over several thousand years, various ancient cultures interacted with and influenced one another. Some of those influences are still with us today in our own culture. These ancient cultures have both similarities and differences with each other.
Ancient South Asian and Chinese societies have many things in common, but they also have many differences in their ways of living. From social aspects to religious aspects, Ancient South Asian and Chinese societies have developed over time to become their own unique societies.
In historic times, multiple Societies of people living and collaborating together in a community is what led to the formation of many Empires. Empires were comprised of similar groups of people that were most often geographically located within close proximities. It is interesting to compare and contrast three societies which became Empires: the Egyptian, Zhou Chinese, and Persian. Each Empire is responsible for contributing to a foundational advancement that has been used in future generations. I will compare the similarities and contrasts of each and explain why I believe the Persian Empire was the most successful Empire.
Asia was shaped during the classical era by different religions that influenced it socially and politically. Confucianism and Islam are two beliefs that came about during the Classical period of China and Islam. However, they both flourished in China, and both became very different religions and philosophies. Although both beliefs possessed a few similarities, they were still two very distinct. Where the two beliefs compare in minor topics such as a caste system, they differ in beliefs as a whole. Confucianism is a philosophy, not a religion, and is a very unique idea. Whereas, Islam is in fact a religion and can be compared to the religion of Christianity.
Relationships between the individual and society vary between cultures, religions and ethnicities. Nevertheless, throughout history, how the individual is seen in society varies accordingly. In Medieval Europe, China and Islamic countries, religious beliefs and different philosophies greatly contributed and effected how individuals in a community acted and interacted with their society and other countries. Different lifestyles and common norms contributed to the differences in relationships because how the community interacted with each other influenced the way society acted in general. In some societies individualism was stressed where as in others the importance of community was emphasized. As a result, these ideas shaped the way society
The artworks of Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, the Aegean cultures, and Ancient Greece have similarities that not only reflect objects and images, but also the media, style and representation. These countries were not always wealthy, clever, creative and powerful enough to gain supplies, but they all find a way to create art with what they had. They have all influenced on each other’s cultures and belief through their artistic values and ways, ranging from the materials and tools they use, position and representation of their monuments and their religious intent.
Islamic and Ancient China art forms are very different, yet similar. Islamic art focused on the depiction of patterns, such as geometric and Arabic calligraphy. Instead of human-like figures, because it is feared that the depiction of the human form is idolatry and a sin against God. Ancient Chinese art focused on the depiction of humans and nature in their artwork. Chinese artists did so to capture the relationship between humans and nature.
In spite of the fact that the decorations are not exactly the same. For instance, Egyptians and Mesopotamians had statuettes of lords, workers, and divine beings, furthermore had compositions, puppets, and pictorial reliefs.
On contrary, he argued that their protest clearly had a private character because they planned to use that moment in order to transmit their views at a wide public. Moreover, the language that they used in some of their cards showed clearly that they protest had a private character. Thirdly, the Court argued that the protest was organized in a public street, so for that reason First Amendment excluded demonstrators from legal responsibility for IIED. Justice Alito disagreed and argued that they organized their protest in a public street that was near the funeral ceremony. Why at that street? So, Justice Alito explained that the picket interacted with funeral and should not be excluded from liability for IIED. He also explained that when First
Ancient China and ancient India are both important and interesting ancient civilizations. They are alike and unlike in many ways. Some significant ways in which ancient India and China are similar and different are religion, art, economics, politics, and social structure.
Classical China and Classical India were two great civilizations that are known for their influences on modern day China and India. Even so, they showed their own unique signs as they developed, with some similar qualities, and others that were not so comparable. Both Agricultural based civilizations had their own technological advancements, and China and India shared many similarities, but they had differences such as the hierarchy of social structure, religious influences, cultural practices, and the importance of trade in the economy.
As different as they may seem, all religions are pretty similar. Even just the small things that are just here and there can connect many religions together. That is not to say that there are also differences between them like their stances on many beliefs, gods, and followers of their religion. However the eastern and western religions are so similar and yet so different that I have decide to label the similarities and differences. That being said, I believe that the western are so similar and yet so different that they must be analyzed. After all they believe in a higher power, pray, and do other such things that are similar but still every reason they are similar is also how they're different. For example, in the religions Hinduism and

Throughout history, sex and sexuality have been the spotlight of discrimination, violence, and inequality. In recent years, Uganda has been a main focus of such issues. Within Uganda, problems of disease and poverty have overshadowed the significant issues of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) rights in the past. With political and social institutions that are anti-LGBTI, many actions including the most recent anti-homosexuality law, have worked to rid the country of these individuals. This law, among others, criminalizes homosexuality and any sexuality outside of heterosexuality (“Parliament Outlaws Homosexuality”) To combat this unnatural law and to achieve greater equality and liberation of LGBTI individuals, a non-governmental organization, called Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) was founded (“Who We Are”). With a mission of monitoring, coordinating, and supporting member organizations to achieve the liberation of LGBTI people, SMUG as well as many national and international organizations are taking a stand and responding to the threats of LGBTI inequality and violence in Uganda.
Going back 200 years, African Americans were always treated indifferently in this “free” land we call America. Someone had to stand up for our civil rights and the man to do it was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beginning in 1954, Dr. King gathered up serval African Americans to start a nonviolent movement to get equal rights for our race and bring people closer together despite the color of their skin. In the year of 1963 Dr. King and several others were arrested for having a nonviolent protest in Birmingham, Alabama against how blacks were being treated in that town and around the country. In Dr. King’s letter from jail, he demonstrates his usage of rhetorical devices to make the clergymen understand what was taking place in the lives of African American people at that time and to give a more distinct picture of their injustice.
