Saving a life or standing for societies view; the ethics behind stem cell research. Stem cell research has become a huge controversy over the years because of it’s conflicting perspectives. The debate surrounding stem cell research is one of scientific evolution and moral judgement. The purpose of stem cell research is the safe clinical application of the transplantation therapy but the moral dilemma is what stunts the research.

The Benefits Of Stem Cell Research
Stem cell research can further develop therapy for those in need. Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that are able to develop into any type of cell in the body, since they are able to do so they are one of the major factors in healing ourselves. Despite the hard work stem cells are able to do, people suffering from a major disease may not produce enough cells to fully heal and could look into stem cell therapy to get extra cells to help them heal completely. The therapy is done by transplantations, one is called nuclear transfer it is done by taking the patient's DNA of a cell and transferring it to an egg cell then the egg is placed in a culture dish and when the process is done the cells are re-introduced into the patient and are able to assist in the healing process. Stem cells can allow scientist to grow to replace tissue damage from heart disease, treat spinal cord and brain injury and could possibly treat serious diseases like diabetes, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's (source 5,7,9,10). While treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases have consistently been changing and finding new alternatives, stem cell research could be able to come up with a new approach in medicine that will be more comprehensive, integrated and highly individualized (source 10).
