The movie that I am going to review is Trolls. The movie is a DreamWorks Animation, from the creators of Shrek. The most important actors in the movie is Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, and Zooey Deschanel. Trolls is a PG rated movie that is safe and fun for kids of all ages. The movie Trolls is about cute, colorful, tall-haired creatures fled the mean, miserable Bergen’s, who can only feel happiness when they eat trolls. The trolls have forgotten to be feared by the Bergen’s because it has been at least 20 years since the Bergen’s last tried to get the colorful trolls. In my opinion the movie Trolls is a good movie, especially for younger kids because it can teach the kids lessons and some of the morals in the story can really be …show more content…
In the movie the Bergen’s celebrate Trollstice, when they are allowed to eat the trolls one day out of the whole year. One year they escaped the Bergen’s and when they did they threw a party at their new location. The Bergen’s where obviously upset about the trolls getting away from them on Trollstice. Then the Bergen’s find the trolls and get some of the trolls and takes them back to the Bergen’s. Then a troll named Poppy went to the Bergen’s town to get the taken trolls back from the Bergen’s. As the characters give a good musical performance in the movie it really sets the tone toward the trolls and Bergen’s in the movie. Rolling stone says, “This is really just an excuse to for celebrities to nab plum voiceover paydays – an A-list roll call”. The trolls are a loving group that those traits generally make things better for them when the chips are down. Poppy risks her life to save her friends which shows people that you should do anything that you can do to make the people you care about happy. Poppy, throws a big party to celebrate the Trolls' escape, despite the fears and warnings of the grey troll, Branch, that loud parties will attract the Bergen’s. A Zen troll Creek arrives, and tells Branch to start being happy, instead of being grumpy,

In 2003, many people would have never thought that Elf would be as great of a success as it is today. Elf is a once in a generation Christmas movie that includes clever and humorous jokes as well as hits the soft spot of much of the audience This comedy may seem cheesy to many but as the story takes off you will not want to leave your seat. From people getting hit by taxis to elves getting into fist fights with Santa, this totally unpredictable movie will keep you laughing for 97 minutes. You will have a hard time keeping up with the movie because you will spend so much time catching your breath. Once you watch the movie once, it will turn into a Christmas tradition for years to come.
One of the most important things of a good film is to have a satisfying ending for the viewer. Without giving any spoilers away, The Nightmare Before Christmas has an ending that will leave you feeling good instead of leaving with a bad taste in your mouth. Also it’s important for a good film to be engaging throughout its entirety. The Nightmare Before Christmas is a story that can keep any viewer sucked into its fantasy world because the story never has a dull moment. Another important part of making a good movie is that the story line is original and not overdone. The Nightmare Before Christmas is a hundred percent original and is the only movie that has done this story line to date which makes it not only unique but worth watching. Good acting is another thing that could make or break a movie when it comes to being good. While The Nightmare Before Christmas doesn’t have actors actually on the screen it has voice actors who made sure that their voices conveyed the emotions of the scenes throughout the movie. Relatable characters are a key point of any good movie because the viewers often want to be able to put themselves into the movie. Jack Skellington is a guy who seems to be stuck in a rut and I think that most people have been at that place before and can understand wanting to branch out and try something new. Another thing that makes movies stand
Out I went into the meadow, Where the moon was shining brightly, And the oak-tree’s lengthening shadows On the sloping sward did lean; For I longed to see the goblins, And the dainty-footed fairies, And the gnomes, who dwell in caverns, But come forth on Halloween. “All the spirits, good and evil, Fay and pixie, witch and wizard, On this night will sure be stirring," Thought I, as I walked along; “And if Puck, the merry wanderer, Or her majesty, Titania, Or that Mab who teases housewives If their housewifery be wrong, Should but condescend to meet me”— But my thoughts took sudden parting,

She gives Roger and Mark money after she earned $1,000 by killing a noisy dog named Akita. Then, Benny arrives and tells Roger and Mark that if they can convince Maureen to cancel her protest that day, he will let Roger and Mark live in his studio project rent free, but they both rejected that offer. After Benny leaves, Mark then goes to help fix the sound equipment for Maureen’s protest while Collins and Angel go to a local support group meeting. While Mark is there, he runs into Maureen’s new girlfriend Joanne and it gets awkward until they start talking about their feelings

Ominous music and the relentless buzzing sound trace the development of Amelia’s psychosis. Before Mister Babadook appears and even before Sam discovers the pop-up book, Amelia’s strained façade of calmness is penetrated by her sister’s birthday talk. For Amelia, the mere mention of Sam’s birthday – the actual date or the celebration day – brings up memories of her husband’s passing. This is the trigger that sets her off.
The movie had a very interesting opening, Homer gets up in front of his family in the theater and points at the audience which is me, and abruptly announces that everyone in the audience is a fool for paying to see something they could watch on television for free, I chuckled because it’s a true statement and yet I choose to pay for this movie. Homer the main character basically finds a new pet pig but in the course of finding it he dumps a bunch of contaminated wastes to the town’s already impure lake. .
When originally released, Troll II was not well-received. Additionally, there was an internal conflict in the making of the movie, as the Italian-speaking crew could not communicate well with the English-speaking actors. However, despite its initial fallbacks, it has aged well with time, proving to be a landmark of late 1980’s culture.
Moo knew she had to do something and she knew she had little to no time but she had to work with the time she had. She spent all day making spots and fake ears and tails for all of her friends. She hoped it would be enough to save her friends. With little time to spare Moo ran over to the turkey pen and handed over all of the disguises for her friends. she apologized for only thinking of herself the other day and explained that the guilt was eating her away inside. All of her friends forgave her and followed her to the cow pen. Thankfully the cows were very accepting of the turkeys and understood their situation. They promised to help keep them safe during
A feel-good Christmas story for older kids and their parents, Elf trades heavily on Will Ferrell's physical comedy skill set. The film offers good and awkward moments in equal measure in the tale of an out-of-place "elf" searching for his real father and trying to reignite the Christmas spirit. There’s been a lot of hatred and prejudice clogging the news outlets during winter, even during a time of year when a large percentage of the world is supposed to be celebrating the arrival of Christmas and flurries of warm, fuzzy thoughts. Even if you’re not celebrating Christmas, there are still plenty of reasons to have warm, fuzzy thoughts. And the warm fuzzes, you know, can cross cultures, languages, climates, and skin colors. They can be profound, too, or silly. In the midst of so much intolerance and confusion, of bitterness and cynicism, I feel, once again, that a little bit of a good movie can do a lot to bring to mind the silliness of war and the healing power of peace and understanding, even under the most ridiculous of circumstances. Which is why, today, I recommend—seriously—the movie Elf.
Walt Disney Productions prestige is to never disappoint and their latest movie Frozen, is no exception. The movie centers around the lives of two sisters, kind-hearted Anna and the frightened Snow Queen Elsa. Fearless Anna sets off on a journey to find her sister, who flees to an icy mountain after she accidentally traps the kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter with her ice powers. Disney’s 2013 animated film reeled in its target audience and more; the film intended to appeal to children’s of all ages surprisingly enough enticed a wider audience largely comprised of non-families. Disney’s reputation for promoting happiness and the well-being of American families led to the direct success of the movie Frozen. The film met its purpose, depicting a touching storyline – showing the importance of family and undermining the traditional concept of “true love.” Furthermore, Walt Disney Productions established sufficient credibility within its viewers and audience with the use of artistic proofs such as; ethos, logos, and pathos. Disney’s tradition is to provide the audience with an educational piece of entertainment, Frozen is undeniably one of those Disney animated films worth seeing. Walt Disney Productions strategic use of rhetoric made it evident that the movie was going to be an all-time hit – some may even say “the biggest children’s film of all time” – simply because it was just that, a Disney movie.
Thus, many adults had a problem with this movie. The movie is addressed to not only children but adults as well. My adults are stubborn and don’t like things that are not how they see it. These parents have metathesiophobia. Also, those adults believe that the kids should not be watching these types of movies that shows them how to be rebellious. These parents focus on the parts of the movie that were irrelevant like how Elsa ran away. Other adults who see the positive difference between the old Disney movies and the new Disney movies encourage their kids to watch it and recommend other parents to watch it with their kids. It is parents like those who have helped changed the perspective of the medias role in our socialization. Media has always been negative towards women and the role they have in the world. But movies like “Brave” and “Frozen” are helping change those perspective in a positive way.
The trolls in Norwegian culture symbolised evil and the supernatural. When Per Hansa thinks that his land is being messed with he immediately thinks it was trolls. This is a representation of his guilt of
