Introducing the newest Sprite commercial of 2017. LeBron James featuring Lil Yatchy and a few other people in a Super Bowl commercial. LeBron James, the starting small ford for the Cleveland Cavaliers, was explaining to the audience why he wouldn’t tell you not to drink Sprite. That he would ask you did you want to try it. Television advertisements are a vital part in marketing of just about any product. With Sprite being introduced in 1961, it still holds the world’s leading lemon lime flavored soft drink. LeBron James and the character he is the audience wouldn’t drink sprite simply because he wouldn’t. Why? Because he’s an all-time NBA all-star. But then at the end of the commercial after seeing everybody else drinking sprite LeBron admits that he would ask you did you want to try Sprite. Sprite effectively persuades their viewers that they have the better tasting lemon lime soft drink.

Most all sodas or soft drinks consist of the basic, carbonated water, sugar, and caffeine. Colas, in particular, were originally just a mixture of extracts of the coca leaf and the cola nut blended with sugar water (1). Though, nowadays, the natural sugars that were originally used, have been replaced by high fructose corn syrup. According to ConsumerReports.org,in 2009 the average american consumed approximately 35.7 pounds of high fructose corn syrup showing the great prevalence of this overused, unhealthy ingredient (3). Though, why would so many producers put an ingredient so detrimental to the consumer’s health in their products? High fructose corn syrup is not only cheaper than organic sugars, but it is also sweeter meaning much less

In Jonathan Swift's satirical essay “A Modest Proposal” he addresses the issues of the nation of Ireland and the problems that it is having with its government because it is doing nothing to help their people come up from issues such as poverty, overpopulation and other crudely addressed political issues. In an attempt to solve these national problems, Swift comes up with a very unique and intense proposition on how the problem can be fixed and dealt with. By providing the reader with a combination of all the three rhetorical appeals ethos,logos, and pathos, Swift can easily, slowly, and effectively bring his proposition into view without the reader completely discarding it from consideration as Swift's words take into deliberation the feelings

In the sprite commercial they are, they are going to show you famous people and trying to show you how a sprite is a good drink. The commercial is mainly trying to sell this to people (11 and up ) to show how when you're down to get a drink. They used lil yatchy and lebron james because they appeal to our generation. They also know kids our age would like to drink the sprite because they might think that they can become like them. Also the advertisement conveys the message that sprite is like the best drink that you can drink.

Richards explains how sugar is bad for you by explaining all the bad side effects it has “it’s long been implicated in a host of health ills such as obesity, diabetes, and an increased risk of cancer” and she uses scientific facts and studies to back it up. Throughout her article she makes a lot of claims about the bad effects sugar has on your body and health in general but she always has evidence to back it up. She also explains how even artificial sweeteners are bad for you perhaps even worse than the real thing she states” researchers at Purdue university recently reviewed a dozen studies on the health impacts of diet soda and linked it to obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease “.Finally she talks about how there is sugar hidden in everyday things that we wouldn’t even think there was sugar in she states” you

Diet drinks have been around for more than 60 years. Although it's called "diet", it was actually aimed at diabetics, and not people who were on a diet. That's the reason why the drink was advertised as sugar-free. Slowly but surely, the industry developed into the giant it is today. However, although it contains no sugar, there are other health risks that we should be taking into consideration.

The impact sugary sodas have on our bodies is known by everybody. But this didn’t stop people consume large quantities of sugary beverages. This is what the change observed in the consumption of such drinks appears to be curious. In accordance with the report, the average American has cut down on soda consumption by 25 percent in the last 25 years.

This is far from the truth. If a person were to drink a carbonated beverage before physical activity, it would cause him to be sick, possibly to the point of vomiting. Medical professionals, manufacturers, and consumers are all aware of the negative impacts of added sugar. So instead of curtailing a sugar addiction, scientists and manufactures created a “healthy” alternative: artificial sweeteners. But artificial sweeteners are not a healthy alternative because they too negatively impact metabolic health.

Based on statistics, a can of classic coke contains 39 grams of sugar per serving. It is a huge amount of sugar that has been adapted into the system. Scientists started studies on the soft drink consumption and linked that amount of sugar in the soft drink which caused dental erosion, increase energy intake and related to obesity.
