Television advertisements are a vital part in marketing of just about any product. With Sprite being introduced in 1961, it still holds the world’s leading lemon lime flavored soft drink. LeBron James and the character he is the audience wouldn’t drink sprite simply because he wouldn’t. Why? Because he’s an all-time NBA all-star. But then at the end of the commercial after seeing everybody else drinking sprite LeBron admits that he would ask you did you want to try Sprite. Sprite effectively persuades their viewers that they have the better tasting lemon lime soft drink.
Most all sodas or soft drinks consist of the basic, carbonated water, sugar, and caffeine. In the sprite commercial they are, they are going to show you famous people and trying to show you how a sprite is a good drink. The commercial is mainly trying to sell this to people (11 and up ) to show how when you're down to get a drink. They used lil yatchy and lebron james because they appeal to our generation. They also know kids our age would like to drink the sprite because they might think that they can become like them. Also the advertisement conveys the message that sprite is like the best drink that you can drink.

Diet drinks have been around for more than 60 years. Although it's called "diet", it was actually aimed at diabetics, and not people who were on a diet. That's the reason why the drink was advertised as sugar-free. Slowly but surely, the industry developed into the giant it is today.
