SYNOPSIS Theater Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare is about a couple of teenagers who fall in love but are limited by both their families. Capulet tells Paris that he could not marry the daughter Juliet so she gets older. Romeo and his friends tried to attend a party held by the Capulets and decided to go as Masquers. At the party, Tybalt sees Romeo but prevented from fighting by Capulet. Romeo and Juliet meet and they immediately fell in love with each other. After leaving the party, Romeo and his friends back to Juliet. They exchanged vows of love. Friar Laurence tells Romeo what happened and she agreed to marry them. Plot The plot begins when a fight broke out between the servants of the feuding noble families of Capulet and Montague. Montague, tries to stop the fight, but he was involved when the rash Capulet, Tybalt, arrives on the scene. After citizens outraged by the constant violence beat the warring factions, Prince Escalus, the ruler of Verona, trying to avoid any further conflict between the family and the death of any individual who disturbs the peace in the future. Next, a brother of the prince of Paris, proposed to marry Juliet. His father Capulet, though happy in the competition, asked Paris to wait two years, because she has not aged enough. Capulet dispatches a slave with a list of people to invite to a masquerade and his feast day is traditionally held. He invited Paris to feast, in the hope that Paris will start to win over Juliet. Romeo and Benvolio, still talking with Rosaline to face the Capulet servant that contains a list of invitees. Benvolio suggests that they also attend as this will allow Romeo to compare her boyfriend with another woman in beautiful Verona. Since Tybalt serves as a foil for Benvolio they are very different - polar opposites to be exact. One Difference would include the fact that while Tybalt is insensitive, you can count on Benvolio to be kind hearted to everyone around him-good or bad. For example, when Romeo and Benvolio by accident recive message of the Capulets party, Benvolio tries to cheer Romeo up and is doing it from the goods of his heart by saying “At this same ancient feast of Capulet’s Sups the fair Rosaline whom thou so loves With all the admired beauties of Verona. Go thither, and with unattainted eye.” What he means by this is “ Rosaline whom you love so much is going to attend Capulet's traditional feast, along with all the beautiful woman of Verona.
Romeo and Juliet is a story based on conflict. The conflict in the story is Capulet against Montague. From ancient times, the two families have held grudges against each other. As the book states. “Two households, alike in dignity...from ancient grudge break to new mutiny. Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean (1.Prologue.1-4).” The grudge between the two families has led to fighting and even death.
Romeo has completely forgotten Rosaline, a character Romeo cried and was depressed about. He instead pleads with the Friar to marry him to his newfound love, Juliet. Count Paris is also self-centered. This is shown when he talks to Lord Capulet about the wedding. Capulet says:

This shows that Juliet is desperately trying to tell her father what she wants but men didn't really care about women's opinions. Lord Capulet replies with more threats and saying that if Juliet doesn't go to marry Paris next Thursday he will disown her.

At the beginning of the play, Romeo is infatuated with Rosaline. When Montague’s nephew, Benvolio, comes home from a fight with the Capulets’ servants, his aunt Lady Montague tells him about how her son Romeo, has been in a melancholic mood, walking alone in the gardens. Benvolio promises Lady Montague that he would find out what is troubling his cousin, Romeo. Not one who is interested in fighting, Romeo is preoccupied by what he thinks is love and begins to confide in Benvolio that he is madly in love
Causing This problem to go on, which could have stopped then. The servant then comes across Romeo, son of Montague who is asked to help him. Romeo then discovers that Rosaline, the woman he thinks he loves will attend that party. Shortly after he shows up with his friends to the masquerade, and there Romeo and Juliet, daughter of Capulet, the two star crossed lovers meet. This may not seem like a conflict right now that really affected the play, but as it moves on it is obvious that story would have changed it this did not occur.
